Producers of the hit show were forced to shoot around her condition, including re-making her own home to resemble the Van Der Kamp household.

In later episodes audiences will note a lot of close-ups, pillows, gowns bedspreads and the odd body double!

Meanwhile Producer Marc Cherry has secured a deal for the show to run into 2011 with himself at the helm, and the leading ladies on board. The cast have agreed to stay as long as Cherry does.
