Wilfred barks again

‘ At last…. a comedy that does not fall within the modem of the current oh so predictable comedies.’
‘This show is so Aussie. You just gotta get a dog like that.’
‘O-M-G this is such a funny show!’
‘Wilfred clearly defines Australians as (either) mainstream ignorant and those who get it!‘ – TV Tonight readers.

That rascally mutt, Wilfred is getting a repeat season on SBS.

If you’ve missed this series then you’ve really missed out. This is the most original local comedy since Kath & Kim (let’s face it even Thank God You’re Here was derivative).

The guy in the dog suit, who continually berates his owner’s new boyfriend, leads a dynamic little triangle that works wonderfully without the need for lavish production values, a laugh track or marquee names. Its premise is so bold it demands attention.

And it’s been the show that has attracted more fan acclaim and more search hits on this site than any other.

Now as soon as the first eight episodes end (May 7) it’s having an instant repeat season at 10pm from Thursday May 10.

Review and comments

‘There is so much in this multifaceted comedy / drama I watched it over and over to make sure I didn`t miss a thing.’
‘This show is funnier than anything in such a dark and scary way!’
‘Wilfred ur a champ lad, I’ll have to shout ya a bong sumtime.’
‘After seeing Wilfred, I looked at my dog asleep on the floor and thought “That’s what goes through your mind”‘.
