Going: 70’s Show

Seven will remove That 70’s Show from Thursday nights after only 4 weeks.

In one of its more unusual scheduling moves, the series will end after July 12. It returned to Seven’s schedule last week, with a decent audience of 1.1m.

How I Met Your Mother will finish its second series on the same night. No word yet on what will replace the two shows.

Las Vegas is due to return to Seven in the second half of the year and has previously been in the timeslot. If Seven sticks with comedy it has Kath & Kim up its sleeve. Could it be ready to roll? Doubtful. Could Medical Emergency move into the night that proved so successful for RPA?

Update: July 2. Seven changes scheduling to allow the series to continue. This is no longer the finale.

  1. WHAT is WRONG with Australian Television programmers?

They can’t let anything settle these days, 1.1MIL viewers for 70’s show sounds pretty good..

It’s no wonder people are switching off and listening to radio or just using the internet more where WE the audience gets to control what we see.

Think about all the money the Australian networks must just waste buying the rights to all these shows yet they give so little respect to broadcasting patterns/consistancy…

It’s time they all pulled their mouths off the foreign networks arses for 24 hours and looked for good writting talent in Australia maybe we would make something worth watching more often.

And not just looking to the past 4 drama writers in Australia, there must be more

  2. omg i was thinking the same thing wen i read that!
i used to watch las vegas n wen i saw vegas i was like
hav i been saying the rong thing.
    =]
    from shanti!

  3. This and removing The Rich List makes me wonder why Seven put That 70s Show on in the first place.

Also, it’s “Las Vegas”, not “Vegas”.
