The ABC moderator just posted on their website that Doctor Who will return to ABC1 on the 29th June for the UK Christmas Special – Voyage of the Damned. Series 4 will then start showing from the following Sunday. No time posted yet but at least we’ve got a date!

The Sarah Jane Adventures has been acquired by 10, apparently. So I guess they can do a “Torchwood” on that show as well. Can episodes of the second season of Torchwood be downloaded, does anyone know?
As far as I know there are no immediate plans to show the 4 remaining eps of the current season, which the CW network aired when the writer’s strike ended. All the big shows came back with a handful of eps to make about 16 eps instead of the normal 22. It’s been a mixed bag as to how networks here have handled them. Shows that fasttracked last year, including Supernatural, have therefore fared the poorest.
do you know when supernatural starts back on channel ten, america is now about 3 episode ahead of us again from my understanding.

Torchwood has had a poor treatment by TEN. They promised 2 series when it started, but I would expect to see it on TEN HD at best.
Doctor Who is currently barely halfway through filming and releasing the fourth season. I should know because I get them on downloads.
As for my own question, when is Torchwood coming back? Ten handedled it unjustly and I think they have some explaining to do!

Thanks for looking into it Dave! Also, Life has been renewed for a second season which will begin airing in the US in September. The ratings were pretty good for Ten last year (it consistently hit around the 1 million mark if I recall correctly), so the chances are strong that they’ll begin fast-tracking it around then (along with the 3 episodes they left unaired from the first season). I’ll also add that the final episode of Life (the 11th one titled ‘Fill It Up’) is truly remarkable television. You find out who murdered Charlie’s friend and see Charlie get his revenge, among other things. Its a shame they left it unaired last year.

Any word on what Seven are replacing their ending shows with e.g. Dirty Sexy Money and the Wednesday 7:30pm-8:30pm timeslot? I’m also interested in watching the premiere of Canal Road, it sounds like an interesting premise and might be a good watch as long as they don’t become a monotonous legal/medical procedural show like a messy hybrid of Grey’s Anatomy and Law & Order. Its also good Seven are bringing IASIP back as its one of the funniest shows on telly, I’ve already seen up to the end of season 3 but its still good news for fans of the show.

TEN has shown all the Supernatural eps it has. New eps in the US resume later this month, but no indication of a return here yet. It was a victim of the writer’s strike.

For a show that averaged over a million viewers a week, Ch7 surely couldn’t have axed it, could they???

Not sure….. we have now seen exactly the same as the US (blame the strike). New eps resume late April in the States, remains to be seen if they resume fast-tracking here.

Just so you know Dave, The Moment of Truth premieres on Channel Nine on Tuesday 11 March at 7:30pm. This will be interesting to see how Australia rates it as its consistently been placing itself in the top 5 programs in the US with over 15 million viewers. Since we warmed so strongly to Don’t Forget The Lyrics over the summer, it could possibly be a hit…or a flop.

I think “Skin Tight” was played in the initial double episode, but it’s not the opening credits song. I wonder if that wasn’t specifically written by Gusto for the show.

So You Think You Can Dance is starting on Sunday Feb3, they are going to be showing at 7.30 I think, like Australian Idol, and then again also on Monday as well.
Apparently bus ads have the info quicker than press releases these days for Ten!

NEWSNIGHT the BBC’s flagship current affairs programme will be shown on BBC World on Saturdays starting Jan 19. I presume its edited highlights as it screen 5 nights in UK.

UK soaps Coronation St and Emmerdale will both be shown 6 times a week from December (Sunday-Friday) on Foxtels UKTV
Both YourTV and ICE TV are reporting the NZ comedy series “Outrageous Fortune” will be shown from this coming Friday on Southern Cross Ten at 10:30pm.
The listing for Ten Brisbane at this time is “To Be Advised”.
This program was last seen on Channel 9 (last summer from memory).

There is a show on American TV which has just had its 3rd episode, and to me may well be the best TV show I’ve ever seen. It’s called Pushing Daisies and I see Ch9 has it but I wonder when it will be shown. It doesn’t seem to be in the so-called fast-tracking list. Pity. I will just have to keep downloading it.
