Divinyls to rock Idol concert

80s rockers The Divinyls will front Australian Idol’s outdoor concert at the Sydney Opera House this Sunday.

They will be joined by the Rogue Traders, Damien Leith, Shannon Noll and The Young Divas.

The three hour telecast will choose between 17yo Matt Corby from Sydney and 25yo Natalie Gauci from Melbourne.

Australia is about to crown its next Australian Idol!

This Sunday, November 25, Sydney’s 17 year old Matt Corby and Melbourne’s 25 year old Natalie Gauci will battle it out at Sydney’s Opera House for the coveted title and the opportunity to win the ultimate prize – a recording contract with SONY BMG.

The 2007 Australian Idol Grand Final is guaranteed to be one of the biggest nights in Australian music with several well known Aussie acts, along with the Idol finalists, set to join Natalie and Matt at the Sydney Opera House.

The Divinyls will be rocking out on the Idol stage in front of a 5000 strong audience at the outdoor concert at the Sydney Opera House. Joining The Divinyls will be The Rogue Traders, reigning Australian Idol Damien Leith, Shannon Noll and The Young Divas.

Over 35,000 hopefuls auditioned for Australian Idol this year. A majority of this year’s Top 12 contestants, including our Final 2, were singer/ songwriters inspired by the likes of Damien Leith and Bobby Flynn from last year’s series.

So who will win? The 17 year old singer/ songwriter who’s Idols include Lior, Joel Houston & Jarryd Klapper or the 25 year old singer/ songwriter from Melbourne who’s inspiration comes from performers such as Carol King, Ella Fitzgerald, and Alicia Keys. You decide.
