It’s all coming unstuck for Bridie Carter very quickly.
On Tuesday night after she won the Dancing with the Stars title, she commented to a newspaper that she wouldn’t be watching the end of McLeod’s Daughters.
She said, “I don’t want to mar McLeod’s, but not everything was as it appears. I find it strange that not one of the original cast members is left. Perhaps they should have tried harder to keep people. Blue Heelers lasted 11 years and there were people on it for the whole series.”
In the same press article, sources were cited that Carter had been “completely up herself” on the Nine drama. TV Tonight opted not to re-print the negativity.
But a day later there’s more of it. After printing its story Confidential said it had “received calls from publicists from every TV network she’s worked for, plus a writer and crew member linked to the Drover’s Run set, all endorsing our story.”
Now it’s turning into a story for real…

soz peeps but im with cj. imho it takes more integrity to keep yer mouth shut than to blab. i thought more of bridie than that.
if shes dumb enough to make scathing comments like that to a reporter (of all people) shes asking for trouble. whatever may happen next or more-to-the-point does not happen next is tough sh*t.shes made her bed now she has to lay in it.
I must say I have been a fan of Bridie as Tess McLeod for some time and i was totally taken aback to read those items. I can only assume her words have been taken out of context and perhaps distorted somehow. Perhaps she was caught at at an inopportune moment for the interview not prepared and got muddled with her thoughts. that is what I like to imagine from her. this saddens me.

i will always love tess in mleods daughters but as for bridie doing that to the show it makes me so mad as i wanted to see tess & nick come back for the end but shes probably blown that chance now good one bridie

As a local who chats to other locals and a local who has been an extra many times since 2002 I would like to know where Bridie got her information from that SA was behind her?? You see she was the only one who would not pose for a photogrpah for the children nor would she sign any autographs for the children when Aaron Jeffery and Lisa Chapell and Myles Pollard and Jessica Napier ALL did, whilst filming in town. This was on more than one occasion. Ms Carter was not popular with her fans.
Shes adult enough to say what she likes and shes adult enough to suffer the consequences of what she says.
If she really did state all those negative and mean things and if those so-called anonymous industry folk whoendrose it are being truthful in what they told confidential, i dont want her back on my screen.
she was rude to me and my 3 mates when we went from sydney to the logies she snubbed us we were all holding signes & called out we came from sydney she was on the red carpet & she wouldnt look at us or come over to us we were right there by her. we called out please bridie come over here we love you but she didnt come
