One of the best programmes on TV. Could there perhaps be a continuing series
ie with a baby on the show, a continuation of the next generation. There’s also enough young people on the show who could marry have babies etc, etc.

meh – a boring and tedious show that runs for eight years is still a boring and tedious show. Hopefully now Nine can come up with a better premise for drama.

When they had to keep inventing new previously unheard of daughters to justify the show’s title, i think the show went way past it’s useby date. perhaps if they called the show Dovers Run, it could have gone on forever.

“THANK GOD” and “THANK GOODNESS FOR THAT”????? You un-appreciative bunch of tossers…..

Geez….the show has had a geeat run, and lasted longer than expected. It employed so many people, and did wonders for our industry. Ending it on a high is great, and, a very noble thing for Nine to do…. Figures of 1.2 million are not “ordinary”….

Congratulation to all inolved in the production. Eight years is a run most shows can only dream of….

First Blue Heelers, now this. We have already been sadden by the departures of Kate Kitchie in Home & Away and Ian Smith in Neighbours.

What will happen if series 8 ends up getting much better ratings such as 1.5 million?

I believe series 8 will be much better than the last and I also believe that if channel 9 does not change their mind, the final episode should be a big family reunion by bringing back original cast members.
