Mr Most Overexposed

The Sydney Morning Herald has dished out its annual TV awards, “The Couch Potatos” and awarded Kyle Sandilands its ‘Most OverExposed’ gong.

In categories jointly awarded by both judges and 11,000 readers, Sandilands managed to take the prize from both pools of voters.

The Chaser’s War on Everything was awarded Watercooler Prize and Best Local Comedy. Mark Philippoussis’s Age Of Love was universally awarded Dog of the Year (and not Celebrity Dog School?). There was also agreement on Best news and current affairs show, The 7.30 Report and Best game/quiz show for Deal Or No Deal.

  1. Celebrity Dog School deserved the dubious honour of being ranked as one of the worst shows of the year. Sadly, it was no-where to be seen on the list.

And I agree, Kyle is receiving FAR too much exposure than he deserves. He can barely string two words together when he tries forumulating an “opinion” on Idol (most of which revolve around superficial factors such as dress sense, or that he thinks a particular genre of music “sucks”).

The fact that TEN would give him HOSTING duties on Big Brother is appalling. He couldn’t even act rationally in the BB house for more than an hour. What makes them think that he won’t childishly walk out of a live BB show if he experienced the same pressure that Gretel Killeen had to face? (e.g. the Merlin scandal, Michael/Jamie’s confrontations etc.)
