Unless you have an OzTAM ratings peoplemeter your five minutes didn’t affect figures one way or another. These are a representative sampling of the wider viewing audience. The industry accepts the sampling is wide enough to reflect a fair and balanced reflection of all homes. While it isn’t perfect it is comprehensive and at least everyone is on the same playing field.
How do the ratings work, for instance, 1.96million viewers tuned into packed to the rafters, I watched 5 minutes & I would have thought that 1.96 people watched – how can these figures be correct & who determines them
David,
I was very surprised to see in the Top 100 FTA shows of the week that Spicks and Specks had dropped from 1,364,000 in overnight figures to 670,000 in revised figures. Similarly, The Gruen Transfer rated 1,273,000 in overnights and was revised to 642,000.
Is this an error by OzTAM or Seven (the document’s publisher)? Or is it legitimately a massive drop?
Top 100 for Network and Pay TV will resume with the end of Week 14 now ratings are back. To be added Monday.
Week 11 fixed, thanks.
Hey David, do you have any of the recent Pay-tv figures? Also the Pay TV week 11 link is the same as the ‘Seven snatches ‘tie breaker’ week’ link above it, thanks.
