Press Release:

Channel Nine today announced that popular presenter Shelley Craft has joined the network to co-host the exciting new lifestyle series Domestic Blitz with Nine’s resident handyman, Scott Cam.

Domestic Blitz is a heart-warming lifestyle renovation series that combines house and garden makeovers with personal style overhauls for a selection of deserving Australian families.

Nine Network Director of Programming, Michael Healy, said: “We are very happy that Shelley has chosen to join Channel Nine. Her natural friendliness and warmth comes across on screen. And she brings great experience with her, as well as being a very accomplished host and television performer.

“We are looking forward to working with Shelley on a range of new programs in the future.”

Craft began her television career with a work experience stint at Channel Seven in Brisbane. This led to a job offer as a production assistant on a local program, and a few months later the on-air presenting gig with the children’s program Saturday Disney. Craft remained with Saturday Disney for five years before joining The Great Outdoors in 2002.

In between shooting stories for The Great Outdoors she worked on many of Seven’s sporting events, including the Sydney Olympics and the Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City. She also hosted Perfect Match and Guinness Book of World Records.

Craft said today, “I am thrilled to be joining Channel Nine and cannot wait to start working on Domestic Blitz. I am especially looking forward to working with Scotty Cam, which is going to be great fun.

“After so many years on the road, it will be a lovely change to focus on the home and work with a team.”

  1. I think Seven will be kicking themselves on this one… Shelley is great talent and a great pickup by Nine.

Speaking of Blitzes, does anyone know what ever happened to Jamie Durie? He was Seven’s coup star from last year but he seems to be MIA

  2. I don’t care if Shelley is sweet as pie, or faker than faux fur, she is a joy to watch on TV. She’s bubbly and friendly without being nauseating, so I think she’s just what Nine need to beef up their programming. I hope Seven are kicking themselves hard for losing such a fine asset.

  3. yeah another star for eye candy for me too, I too think channel 9 did a great idea picking her up, she is lovely to watch on screen.. Shelley has beautiful aura around herself, and I can’t wait for Domestic Blitz to see her.. ooh can’t wait for it.. and as for Scotty Cam, what a champion.. he’s one of the funniest people tv.
