Former editor in court

A former 60 Minutes editor faced court yesterday charged with committing an act of indecency with a person 16 years or older.

Duncan Leyburn Taylor, 49, was sacked by Nine after allegedly exposing himself to a pregnant colleague on November 14 last year.

He was arrested at the Nine Network’s Sydney studios the next day.

Taylor appeared in court briefly yesterday but did not enter a plea.

A spokeswoman for the Nine Network refused to comment on the incident. “The matter is before the court and we therefore have no comment to make,” she said.

The magistrate adjourned the case to the same court on a later date.
