Wondering where the 2008 BAFTA Awards were today?

Arena had promised it for 12pm, due to screen in a delayed telecast, smack bang against the Grammy Awards live on FOX8.

But at 12pm Arena had Fashion Rocks 2007.

Arena advises “there was a problem with the timing of this mornings satellite feed. We will now be screening the awards at 8.30pm tonight…. this was a technical matter that was beyond Foxtel’s control.”

The 8:30 timeslot was already put aside for a repeat screening. By now of course, dedicated fans will likely know the winners via the press, so it’s purely to see the presentation aspect.

    What a load of hogwash, they can’t even admit it when they stuff up their own scheduling. Instead, they try to throw in a psuedo-technical word or two into the marketing jibber and hope the users don’t figure out that the statement makes no sense whatsoever.
