Logie voting opens, but…?

Voting is now open for the 2008 Logie Awards, and you can vote online.
Will this be another Kate Ritchie vs Rove year? Or is it the year of Chris Lilley? Kath and Kim? Could Lisa McCune be set for a comeback?
The online voting is likely to shake up the nominees this year, potentially widening the pool from the grocery-buying readers of TV Week to other demographics.
Currently, the Roy Morgan-hosted site says, “Only one vote per person is allowed, any votes submitted after the initial vote will not be counted.” But it appears to allow full voting facilities even after an entry is submitted. Very strange!
Regardless, fans will still be able to vote on more than one computer, or indeed through more than one browser. An what about overseas votes? Shows with big fan bases like Neighbours and Home and Away would surely benefit over locally-screened fare like City Homicide, The Circuit and Love My Way.
Still, previous voting arrangements were hardly ideal, with legendary industry rumours of network publicists being made to fill out multiple magazine entry forms.

I voted for Jackie Woodburne for Gold and Silver, its about time underrated actresses and legends were nominated.
Ian Smith for Hall of Fame, for his 30 years dedication to Australian television.

don’t think this helps much more either – you’re made to answer all questions with only a selected number of responses allocated. I have no idea about sporting or reality programmes, I don’t watch them! And ‘new talent’ is just a splattering of home and away or neighbours cast, no thanks. How about being able to select some real new talent – a suggestion, maybe Ed Kavalee (not so new)… Or how about for ‘personalities’ or hosts – no mention of the host with the most, Paul McDermott! Where’s the talent recognition, Logies get with the times there’s more out there than just H&A and Neighbours
Sad they chose a completely useless survey company to handle the voting.
You can simply reset your IP and disable cookies and you could vote as many times as you like.
