This morning Kyle Sandilands and Jackie O had a phone interview with Rove on his nomination for the Gold Logie on their radio show.
But despite both working for the same network, Sandilands don’t seem to think much of McManus. After both joked about a prickly relationship all seemed to be going well. When the interview ended Sandilands even said, “Thanks mate, nice to talk to you.”
But once Rove was off the line, he had a LOT more to say.
“I lied about the ‘nice to talk to you’ bit. Hate talkin’ to him….hate his guts,” said Sandilands.
“I was bein’ civil. But I still don’t like him.”
Despite Jackie O trying to smooth over the waters, the outspoken host let rip.
“Being civil to people and actually liking him are two different things. I don’t wanna pretend to the audience that I like him, cos he’s an arsehole.
“I will present the show in a professional manner…. really what I think is he’s a spiteful little arsehole. That’s what I think.”

BB housemates reportedly go into lockdown on a Sunday this year, presumably so the BB hosts can go on Rove to cross-promote the show. I wonder how this will affect that show, and if Kyle will be on? Will thickskinned Rove turn it into a joke and do a “sketch” about it?
He claims he wanted to present in a professional manner. How unprofessional and two faced to insult someone you have just interviewed.

clearly everyone, including me, has TV personalities that they like and dislike, but Kyle Sandilands is only one that boils my blood, he is an utter waste of space, brings nothing positive to anything he does, I am seriously hoping that BB dies the painful death that I think it will under the stewardship of him and Jackie O, lets face it, Idols best seasons ratings wise were far and away seasons 1 and 2, the ones he wasnt involved with..there has to be something in that!
And this is why I listen to Merrick and Rosso and Kate instead. Kyle’s jealousy and not bein the face of the network obviously bothers him to the point where he has to be malicious and belittle Rove, who, by all accounts is one of the nicest people in the industry.
Sandilands personifies the term
Shock Jock or not, I cant stand the blokes tv/radio persona and as a result don’t watch or listen to anything he is on.
I think they’re both playing up to that “fight” and Kyle has managed to make a career out of it.
Most of shock jocks I’ve met act nothing like they do on the radio.
Wouldn’t be the first time he’s said stuff like that on 2dayFM.
