When Marcia Brady met Dr. Phil

Maureen McCormick, better known as Marcia Brady, appears here on Dr. Phil to get some guidance on issues she is having with her family (that’s the non-Brady Bunch). She believes her brother, Kevin, has brainwashed her father to alienate him from her and the rest of her family, including his grandchildren.

“Even though the Bradys had their problems, it was a great family. They loved each other,” says Maureen.

“My parents were really happily married, and they had four children together. Michael, the oldest, then Kevin, and then Dennis, who was handicapped, and then I was the baby and the only girl.”

But hers was a family not without conflict. “Kevin always felt like the black sheep, and everyone was aware of that. So that was always something that I think really, really, really bothered everyone, but we didn’t know how to deal with it. He just kind of fell through the cracks and didn’t get all the attention that he should have had.”

Dr. Phil asks Maureen, “You worry about Kevin?”

Fighting tears she replies, “I have worried about him my whole life. I love him so much.”
