Bumped: I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here
UPDATE 20/5: TEN has since rescheduled this to 2pm Sundays, beginning 25 / 5. This will be a compilation of eps 6 and 7 into 1 hr.
What a tragedy.... the 'celebrities' are out of here.
TEN has pulled its UK reality series off air. David Gest, Jason Donovan and the gang got their wish.
The 2006 series will be replaced by repeat movies beginning this week with How to Lose A Guy in Ten Days and Mean Girls next week (again).
Last week Celebrity only attracted 425,000 in the Friday 9:30pm timeslot.

well people have to have heard of you to make you a celebrity. but don't channel 10 have any other movies in their stockpile? why do they always show the same 6 or so movies again and again and again, let me guess these two movies will be followed by, love actually, about a boy, not another teen movie, i think there are a couple more in the rotation too. 10 have always done this, years ago they used to play the fifth element like every month.
sheesh, does channel 10 have any other films other than How to Lose A Guy in Ten Days and Mean Girls, as well as About a Boy,Love Actually, and a few others? They really love repeating certain films every 6 months or so.
Not surprised about the axing of I'm a celebrity, however.
Damn! Wasn't Mean Girls on in March? It was right after something, I cant remember what, some special or something... but again?!?!?
yes, these movies seem to be always on channel ten. why not dig out some of the classic james bond films, they haven't been shown for about 3 or 4 years on ten.
I am not surprised that I am a celebrity get me out of here was axed I literally watched about 30 seconds of this show before changing channels I just wish that ten wouldn’t show the same movies again and again why not show some of the old classics like the towering inferno
And don't forget the double feature of Billy Madison followed by Happy Gilmore - seems like that's on every six months.
It was only a matter of time... maybe it'll end up on TenHD at some point?
david,
is there any way to find out how many times ch 10 has shown mean girls in the last 2 years. Its almost like that experiment done in the 90's when King of Comedy was played every week or fortnight at about 11pm for a month or so.
No surprise there about it being it being axed as it was never going to work on FTA here at just one episode a week, which is a shame as this series was a bloody good one.
Those two guys in the picture, David Guest and 'Robbie' from Eastenders were a crack up and really made that particular series so much fun to watch.
Not that the show probably didn't deserve it, but there's heaps of other programs they could put on instead of the same movies over and over again. And by the way, who was the highest profile celebrity on the show?
Ugh. I agree with the above posters. Why don't TEN play the James Bond movies? Or better still, why don't they reair Lost in Translation? (which has only ever aired once)
Now that really p***es me off! It was one show that we were enjoying watching every week .... much more interesting than that stupid BB Friday Night Games!
Now how are we suposed to see what happens and who wins? Idiots!
Jack!
Well I liked it! And lets be honest, there really isn't anything else on at that time to watch right?
And on saying that, I don't see how a rerun of a movie that has aired 47 million times already will rate any better...
They haven't actually aired the Sandler old-school double feature for a few years now. Maybe they're saving it for his new film Zohan which comes out in June.
As for Friday night television, I rarely ever watch it that night. I usually am out that night, going outside, seeing the world, and being awesome. On a side note, I agree with everyone. Ten and their 5 movies which they air all the time need to switch it up a bit. I'm surprised no one's mentioned Bridget Jones. Those movies are on quite a lot, along with anything with Julia Roberts.
Jack, it aired in November 2006 in the UK, look online and see who won, I really enjoyed this when it aired on UK TV last xmas, quite the guilty pleasure! its intended as a daily show, which is how UKTV showed it and would move at a snails pace if it was shown weekly like ten started to..
more James Bond please pass this onto 10 ,70s and 80s Bond
Do they still have the rights to the classic Bonds? I saw a Bond marathon on Movie Greats a few years back.
And how did Seven get the new Bonds? How did Ten let them get away with it?
Loved the show. What is it with these pathetic TV companies who start to show a series and then move it to a different time or pull it altogether ? Looks like channel 10 is now playing to the channel nine tune ! Have stopped watching C9 because they are unreliable. Will have to add C10 to the 'unreliable so don't get interested' category.
