Drink driving arrest on actor
Underbelly’s Alex Dimitriadis was arrested for drink driving on the weekend, after allegedly returning an alcohol reading of 0.11 when stopped along Oxford St, Paddington, about 3.35am on Saturday.
He was charged with mid-range PCA and will appear in court later this month.
Dimitriadis is believed to have been partying hard with the ladies after breaking up with his girlfriend of more than a year Shauna Mac last month, says news.com.au
“Thanks to the success of Underbelly he’s definitely been out and about and having a good time lately,” one source said. “I know he had a very large night at the Logies - there are a few rumours going around about that.”
Dimitriades refused to comment yesterday, as did his agency Shanahan Management.
“We are not in a position to comment as it is in the hands of Alex’s lawyers and now a matter for the courts,” a Shanahan’s spokeswoman said.
Smart move. Another celebrity who will appear in court this week would have been wise to stay mum on his arrest late last month…
