Last night’s Biggest Loser finale was the top show of the night, attracting an audience of 1.88m viewers. It peaked at 2.35m. In 2007 it reached 1.99m (peak 2.6m). The inaugural finale in 2006 hit 2.3m.
20 year old Sam Rouen won the title by shedding a staggering 46% of his body weight, defeating Alison (45%) and Kirsten (43%).
TEN and Nine both tied for first place in the evening ratings share on 28.5% causing Seven to fall back to 22.1%. The Footy Show was a big ratings grabber for Nine on 1.1m, and Big Brother has had its first night under 1m viewers.
In a tight ratings week Nine is currently sitting in first place on 27.2%, TEN 26.7% and Seven 26.1%. With a week full of reality events, TEN avoid becoming the biggest loser of the week itself? It will need a big surge for Friday Night Live and I’m A Celebrity Get me Out of Here – a big ask.
