Nine Perth moves jobs to Wollongong

Channel Nine Perth is set to move its transmission to Wollongong under a centralisation plan by the station's owner, WIN Corporation. Staff are believed to have been offered jobs on the east coast.

Australian-Media.com.au understands that transmission from Nine's Perth station will cease on Friday, June 13.

The move follows a number of cost-cutting measures implemented by WIN since purchasing the Nine television stations in Perth and Adelaide in 2007.

Channel Nine is the last television station in Perth to relocate its transmission to the east coast following similar centralisations by Seven, Ten and the ABC in past years.
