Season 12 of The Amazing Race is coming to Seven, from 9:30pm Thursday June 12.

This series premiered in the US in November and has since concluded (so beware internet spoilers).

Always a fun show, teams for this series include father / daughter, “dating goths”, brother / sister, lesbian married ministers, grandfather / grandson, sisters, best friends and dating couples.

Meanwhile, My Name is Earl will move to a permanent new night from 8pm Thursday June 12, following How I Met Your Mother.

Family Guy and American Dad (the latter with new eps) screen at 10:30 and 11:00pm. Stargate Atlantis lands at 11:30pm.

Elsewhere, Trinny and Susannah move to 10:30pm Sunday June 8.

The AFL Footy Show was over 700,000 in Vic, SA, WA before the mannequin incident for all but one week.

After this, and via a number of headlines, it has hovered anywhere from 597,000 – 756,000. On analysis it would appear to have dropped with some singular surges bolstered by headlines.

    Hi David,

Is bumping Trinny and Susannah a wise move ? Have you done any analysis of the Melbourne ratings slide of The AFL Footy Show, and where the audience has gone ? (Another writer, no names, has suggested a migration from one to the other). Your thoughts ?

This is lineup that Seven had during 2006 which they promoted as “Seven’s Amazing Thursday”:
    7:30 – How I Met Your Mother
8:00 – My Name Is Earl
    8:30 – Lost
    9:30 – The Amazing Race
    10:30 – Family Guy
    11:00 – Amercian Dad

They had such great success with this lineup. It was the only night of the week where my television stayed on Seven for the entire night. This is the line up that they should of stuck with during the half of this year. Why has it taken so long to return to this (with the exception of Lost)??

    That’s awesome news!

But what’s going into the 8pm Sunday slot?

The Amazing Race is my favourite Reality Shows.
But as channel 7 never screened the shows fast enough or in the right order, i found it better to hunt around the net for people selling the seasons on dvd.
I have ever season so far, and its great to sit and watch it all at once around 7-8 hours worth. I found it adds to the excitement and i also stayed clear of any web sites giving details of the show or winnners.
