Sew time for Runway judges

Last weekend I caught up with the team from Project Runway Australia, Arena’s adaptation of the US reality series for upcoming designers.

The show will feature Henry Roth (Mentor, left), Sarah Gale (Judge), & Jayson Brunsdon (Judge, right). As we know it’s to be hosted by model Kristy Hinze…. I think you can figure out which one she is.

The series will be an enormous project for Arena, all based in Melbourne. It’s a nice contrast to Next Top Model’s Sydney base. Like the US format, the designer contestants will all be sharing house -in a CBD apartment. It is produced by FremantleMedia.

Henry Roth previously appeared in the US series Style Court as a ruthless judge who punishes defendants for bad fashion taste. His is certainly an ambitious role, uniquely performed by Tim Gunn in the US.

Jayson Brunsdon has been creative director for Morrissey with clients including Princess Marey, Linda Evangelista and Naomi Watts. Sarah Gale will be focussing on fashion from a commercial perspective.

Project Runway Australia will encompass avante garde, high fashion, tailoring, street-wear, red-carpet, sports, prĂȘt-a-porter, swimwear and couture.

I love both the US and Canadian versions of this show and am hoping I can get ‘hold’ of this one as well :)

It really is reality for grown ups and I am not even a fashionista.

    It better be good.

Got something to say?
