Axed: Dirt

FX Networks have dissed Courteney Cox Arquette’s Dirt. The show will not be picked up for a third Season.

Cox announced the news at an AIDS benefit, “A Time for Heroes” Celebrity Carnival.

Dirt followed the work-obsessed and emotionally unavailable DirtNow magazine editor-in-chief Lucy Spiller during her day-to-day pursuits for glossy celebrity scandals. It aired in Australia on MovieExtra.

The show recently parodied the lives of real A-listers, including Britney Spears, Paris Hilton and Madonna.

“We’re developing all kinds of stuff right now,” Cox said about her and hubby David Arquette and their production company, Coquette Productions. “We’ll be producing more stuff together, for sure.”

That’s sad as the second season was cut short and never really had an ending.
