Ballarat TV cases adjourned

Former Hey Hey co-creator Gavan Disney has had his case, of alleged indecent assault and rape, adjourned until mid-August.

Disney, of Toorak, was granted an application last month not to appear in the Ballarat Magistrates Court because he was interstate.

Fellow former Ballarat TV identity Frederick Harold Fargher, 68, had his case adjourned for a two-day committal hearing on October 23 and 24. Fargher is also charged with one count of indecent assault relating to the same alleged victim.

The alleged offences took place against one victim between January 1980 and December 1983.

Both Fargher and Disney worked for Ballarat’s BTV6 during the 1970s and 1980s.
