Dannii’s ‘hex’ factor – Sharon quits

Dannii sure is having a good week. After winning TV Personality of the Year at UK Glamour Mag’s Awards and a pay rise of $1million, now her nemesis, Sharon Osbourne has quit The X Factor.
Osbourne has walked off the ITV1 hit – just days before she was due back. Sharon, 55, was due to join Simon Cowell, Louis Walsh and Dannii Minogue at the London auditions on June 12.
Her exit has left producers scrambling for a fourth judge.
“Sharon Osbourne has decided to leave The X Factor after four fantastic years,” said ITV.
“ITV thanks her for her immense contribution to the show and for all her humour, compassion and energy.
“She has been a tremendous judge and mentor on the programme but we respect her wish to leave and wish her the very best with her future projects.”

Sharon Managed the SP’s in their early days after their first stint at Lollapalooza , after Siamese Dream they were handed over to REAL mangers/agents and she hasn’t done much else on her own merit. Every minor gig she has landed has been on Ozzy’s name. Talent? I agree Dani has none but neither does Mrs Osbourne, if it wasn’t for a couple of psycho kids and a has been husband who’s entertaining enough to laugh at and mock (but full respect for his 70’s work), then where would the lady be right now?
Dani I also agree lacks in the talent department, but she has accomplished more as a recording artist than Mrs Osbourne has and she has even outsold Red and his old Skyhooks gang.
Like it or not but everything from RnB right down to Aussie Idol depends on sex appeal and image, it’s nothing new, promoting a person who is attractive to the general populace isn’t by any means anything new, its been policy since the last century.
Nearly every artist or critic thinks the other person is not worthy but the critc thinks their insight is far better. Its about reading the scoreboard and who’s sitting at home watching and who is out there working.
To be fair, Leo, Sharon Osbourne has decades-long experience in artist management and as a tour promoter. She used to manage Smashing Pumpkins, amongst others.
Dannii, on the other hand, has such a keen eye for talent that she put a *wood chopper* through to the finals of the local version because she thought he was “hot”. I think she might have misunderstood the use of the word “talent” 🙂
Wow thats a suprise! And at such short notice too…
I love Sharron and i think it will be sad to see her go. However i do think she acted quite childish when it came to Dannii’s involment.
And i agree with the above comment, they should show it here! Considering Dannii is Australia, Got Talent has gone well, and that one of the shows biggest stars Leona Lewis is huge over here.
Foxtel or Ten, take note
Thank god that old witch has left, just because she is married to a rock star doesnt give her the right to judge talent – & she had the nerve to question Dannii over her involvement! The way she treated Dannii was appalling – the show is better off without her!
Why isnt UK X Factor screened here, even on Foxtel – with Dannii involved & with the success of Australia’s Got Talent, you would think the other networks will pick it up!
