Stone case adjourned, charges may drop

Surfing the Menu’s Curtis Stone, who was arrested and charged with drink driving offences, had his case adjourned in a Los Angeles court on Friday.

It is understood the prosecution has committed to dropping the counts of driving under the influence of alcohol and driving without a valid Californian driver’s licence. They are expected to be officially dropped when the case returns to court on Thursday.

That should leave one charge of allegedly driving with a blood-alcohol level of 0.08 or higher.

Stone said yesterday no decision had been made about whether he would plead no contest to the remaining charge.

“It certainly has not affected anything to do with my work. I have spoken to network TLC about it and I’ll continue my filming schedule.”

While in the US, Stone has also appeared on The Oprah Winfrey Show and has a regular segment on the Today Show.
