WIN to produce local versions of ACA

WIN television will produce local versions of A Current Affair in Adelaide and Perth, effectively leaving Tracy Grimshaw to front an “east coast” edition. They will also employ locally-produced stories.

In Perth, A Current Affair will be presented by Sonia Vinci. The Adelaide host is yet to be announced along with airdates.

“As a part of our ongoing expansion and significant commitment to local news and programming, WIN Corporation is dedicated to developing its operations and the Nine brand by investing heavily in local production and local people,” Mr Butorac said.

The switch to localised ACA’s follows local presenters of Today Tonight in Perth and Adelaide. ACA regular Tracy Grimshaw has moved to Melbourne to continue presenting the network edition for PBL Media.

  1. Great come back and statement from Tracy to-night, Monday 8th June. No man has any right to speak of any woman in the manner which Ramsey did. I once enjoyed his shows, but I now feel he is in self destruct mode, and doing well. If he thinks Aussies will side with him abusing one of our own, the bloke got of the boat at the wrong port.

  2. Seems freedom of speech has its limits.
The abuse from a government body that uses stand over tactics to rip apart normal human families.
Some one that can ask the Questions on the behalf of the people that are being abused by this Government.
ACA, if they were to take this on, to investigate the claims of parents and children, to even undertake a polygraph test. to show the public, that this abuse from government is happening.
Rudd quoted “No one is above the law”,yet this department is.
Rudd quoted in saying Sorry to the stolen generation “This will never happen again” Sad to say Mr Rudd your out of touch,it is happening as I write this,Children being stolen, Families being ripped apart.
What do we, As parents need to do to be heard????.
ACA. the producers. we the public, we that are parents, we seek the justice and a Voice to be heard.
Will ACA step up and help the meek ?????

When the godly are in authority, the people rejoice. But when the wicked are in power, they groan. Proverbs 29: 2

  3. Agree with the above recommendation, why not cover a story on Family SA, Queensland Department of Child Safety, and see the corruption within the departments. Could possibly be Australia Wide. How they twist children’s words, make false accusations, and always say they are investigating, but never do, they just break up families and close their book on it. Leaving mass destruction behind where they have been.

Strongly recommend and suggest you be that voice ACA

  4. Wonder if ACA will cover a story on corruption/neglect/unprofessional conduct of Family SA ?.
How many families has this department abused?. from children to parents.
Can ACA ask the questions from the victims of this abuse from parents?.
The Children and parents need a media voice to indicate this abuse from Family SA. and show the public the tactics used by Family SA.
In less then 20 minutes Family SA, The department of child safety, Can abuse the whole family and then justify it as they are above the law.

We the victims of this abuse require a Voice to be heard Can ACA be that voice?.
    We seek justice and truth.

  5. @barrie – I can’t see it being much different to that. Today Tonight pretty much does that, although they do insert their own local stories from time to time – some of which do end up on the east coast edition as well.

What is really strange about TT is that you can see a story on east coast TT one day, and the same story won’t make it to Perth TT until 3 days later. Sometimes they show it on the same day.

So although they use the same content sometimes, it’s generally not just a direct copy of the east coast edition with a different face in front of the camera.
