You better work….

Seven has been stunned by more than 9000 applicants for its upcoming Make Me A Supermodel series.

Auditions kick off this Saturday in Sydney as both male and female wanna-bes strutt their stuff for producers, Endemol Southern Star.

So far names including Jennifer Hawkins and Erika Heynatz have been whispered as potential hosts -both are Seven stable mates.

“We really believe in this format, bringing together male and female models trying to realize their dream,” says Brad Lyons, Seven’s head of program development.

“To get such a huge response so early in the piece is a great sign.”

Press Release:

Any thought that Australia’s thirst for a new modeling superstar has waned can be thrown out with last season’s heels.

In less than week, MAKE ME A SUPERMODEL’S website has been sent into overdrive with enquiries from more than 9000 budding male and female models who believe they could be the nation’s next fashion super star.

Aussie hunks and beauties will line up at auditions from this Saturday in Sydney – before the quest continues around the country – to state their claim as the best of a beautiful bunch.

Through the ground-breaking new show, judge and Chadwick Models and Management managing director Martin Walsh has committed to finding the next Elle Macpherson or Travis Fimmel, two of Australia’s most successful model-actors.

Talent scouts discovered Elle and Travis while they were living out their average, pre-superstar lives. For Elle, it was on holiday in Tasmania. Travis, a lad from country Victoria, was in a gym recuperating from a footy injury when an eagle-eyed agent spotted his potential. They have since become fashion, TV and film icons.

Entrants in Channel Seven’s MAKE ME A SUPERMODEL will cut out the middle man, and take their looks and talent direct to the experts in their quest for a professional modeling contract with leading agency Chadwick.

The winner will be in pole position for a successful career.

“We really believe in this format, bringing together male and female models trying to realize their dream,” says Brad Lyons, Seven’s head of program development.

“To get such a huge response so early in the piece is a great sign.”
