I’m with you Garion – living in Hobart, with a HD set top box and HD TV, the only advantage I can see currently is ABC2 – which has some GOOD stuff on it. Southern Cross HD and WIN HD currently only run when there is something playing in HD on the main chanel and TDT runs HD in parallel. I just want a decent selection of shows ya know?

Darn if they put on a ton of 70′s and 80′s shows I’d be excited! Nothing like good old-fashioned quality TV.

Where are 9 & 10 with HD?

I don't know about the rest of Australia but here in the Widebay we only get 7HD 1080 (along with ABC and SBS at 720) and still no proper 9 or 10 HD 1080!

People are buying HD sets by the 1000s with the promise of better viewing without having the channels to watch.

David - on the pay TV side do you know when or if Austar is going HD or regional viewers?
