BB finale: and then there were two

As expected the finale of Big Brother on Monday July 21 will screen from 7:00 to 9:30pm, with two housemates left standing.

“…And then there were two! The time has come for you, Australia, to make your final decision and vote for the winner of Big Brother” TEN’s upcoming guide says.

That means either more surprise or double evictions.

It will be followed by Mark Loves Sharon and the return of Burn Notice at 10pm. As previously reported, Bondi Rescue repeats then take over the 7pm weeknight timeslot.

And while it has been confirmed Friday Night Download is returning, it won’t lead straight from the end of Friday Night Live.

So You Think You Can Dance (US) is slated for Friday July 25 followed by (yet another) repeat of the movie Love Actually. Following from About a Boy, Mean Girls TEN is “seriously” dredging up the same old flicks.

But the real question is this: Will the finale drag almost two hours overtime like last year, pusing the show immediately after it into a midnight abyss?

I’m still peeved about how it happened last year to Torchwood!

In Brisbane, the last BB final went until 10.10 (55 minutes late). I only checked to see how late it would really be. They might as well have it go until midnight, so anyone isn’t waiting around.

I reckon about 1.3m for the finale this year, id love to see Seven and Nine aggresively schedule against it and hopefully kill BB off forever!

Yes, please everyone, don’t watch the finale. If you are dying to know who won, go to a news site to find the result. Anything to hinder its chances of coming back is welcome.

Does anybody still care about Big Bogan? Th eviction show has slipped below the magic million mark now. Surely, they can’t bring it back with those pathetic ratings.

    Yes love BB.
And there’s going to be 3 in the final not 2.

Yes, I am still a fan after 8 seasons and will keep watching as long as it lasts. There have been some things I liked abou this year and things that I haven’t but still love the concept of the show and have enjoyed the antics of our two older housemates this year.

TEN’s Guide info on “then there were two” is quoted in the story. There are often changes in BB land it would seem this is another.

Come on, folks - sing with me…

    “Does any-body care
    I DON’T THINK SO!”.

    Thanks!

After many years of sticking up for Big Brother (and despite having two honours university degrees) still getting stick for being a ‘bogan’ Big Brother fan, I agree with the critics that this year ought to be the last. The nail in the coffin was Gretel leaving. Love or her hate her, her warmth (alternating with biting sarcasm on occasion!) really made the show for me. I won’t be tuning in this finale, which will be a first for me. Contrary to reports, I think that Jackie O has done alright, but Kyle is a disaster. Take em off pronto.

Got something to say?
