Bumped: Prison Break. Gone: The Unit.

Michael’s going to be breaking out a little bit later now.

Seven has pushed back Prison Break to a later start time of 10:20pm from next week, after last night it only attracted 635,000 viewers.

It is replaced with a double episode of Criminal Minds which had an impressive 1.4m viewers last night, ahead of the ABC’s two giants Spicks and Specks and The Gruen Transfer.

This takes The Unit is out of schedule while Cavemen screens at 11:20pm.

On Wednesday July 30 there are double doses of both Criminal Minds and Prison Break at 8:30 and 10:20pm respectively.

  1. Prison break is a great show and it’s a shame it’s pushed back to 10:30.I for one am sick to death of all these criminal homicide cop investigation shows, CSI cold case and the rest, there are just too many. Australian audiences have no imagination or sense of adventure.

  2. Is Criminal Minds really going to be aired 3 times a week? Come on. That show is the most lifeless, cardboard, generic cop show on television. That honour used to go to Shark before it was cancelled. But 3x a weej? Nine came close by airing 3 Gordon Ramsay shows at once, but at least that was only for one week and the next week they lowered it to only 2. They may as well put Air Crash Investigations back in that slot if they’re going to move PB.

  3. Thanks for in Cavemen David 🙂

and thanks ch7 for keeping Cavemen, I like The Unit but haven’t really got into it.

ITA benno, if they hadn’t waited so long then people would still be interested.

I’m predicting it to drop below 1/2 million next week.

Will the double Criminal Minds ep both be new?

  4. Well, if the 650,000 or so diehard PB fans follow it to 10.30pm then thats a pretty good audience for that hour of the night, hopefully seven wont keep us waiting to long for the new season when it kicks off in the USA in September.
