For rent: Big Brother house

If we’re really, really lucky maybe they will just keep renting this out permanently….

Dreamworld’s chief operating officer Kevin Bradley said the Big Brother house will be open for inspection on Saturday July 26.

The open-plan, one-bedroom house, with its sound-proof confession room, surveillance system, large outdoor area and gym, is to become available for hire -at only $2200 a day.

He said the house, which could hold 150 guests, would be available on a short-term basis for corporate events, social gatherings and parties.

Renters would have access to all facilities but were warned that “Big Brother would be watching”. Catering and entertainment options are available and range from themed party nights to television crews taking footage of the evening for later viewing.

Exclusive use of the Big Brother House, including the Big Brother character voice and a security guard to evict guests. Bradley said hiring the house would be “a surreal experience.”

News is that 10 has axed bb and after this series BB09 wont go ahead. Maybe its a 2 year break fo the show while they re-invent the format but I dont know…

Umm… don’t they do that every year after the show?

I looked at it as an option for a staff get together one year… no one really cared for it.

Maybe the bookings have dropped off in recent years.

if the reports on the BBBA website are true, then they might review their $2200 a day price tag as the house could become a renovator’s delight

According to the Behind Big Brother website, BB will not be renewed for 2009, so it could be a long term lease for anyone wanting to the house!

Lots of chatter around this arvo that TEN are set to announce the axing of BB tomorrow? Any work on this? I did read something about TEN having placed on embargo on this news until Midnight tonight so there may not be a lot you can say..If its true I hope they at least invite Gretel back for the finale, she was the heart and soul of the show..

Well according to Mike Munro on Channel Nine News a second ago - looks like there won’t be another BB house as Ten is set to announce that there won’t be another season tomorrow!

Got something to say?
