It’s Wine Time!

How absolutely brilliant is this?

Yes by the looks of this photo the US version of Kath & Kim is in very good hands. As published in CosmoGuyonline Selma Blair and Molly Shannon are the bees knees here! This is only the second photo of the Americanised Kath & Kim to have been spied so far.

The attention to detail here is excellent, right down to the SAME green plastic chairs, slingbacks and spa seen in the rear. The look of the house also indicates the same level of effluence.

Both Blair and Shannon can be seen here reading Star Enquirer and PopStar -good quality trash there girls.

Following last week’s comments by Selma Blair that Aussie fans of the show shouldn’t get too hot under the collar, it looks like, on the basis of these photos, she’s spot on.

Bring. It. On.

  1. HI everyone. I’m living in Texas and just saw the NBC promo for K&K. It looks really, really well done.

The townhouse they are using looks much bigger than Lagoon Court, Fountain Gate!

They promoted it together with The Office.

  2. I love the castingbut Selma is just too skinny and beautiful to play Kim…wonder if Sharon will be the same as here or will they just make her skinny and dumb?? I love Magda’s Sharon with those facial sores and tubbiness.

  3. I know plenty of people are bagging the US remake (before it’s even been seen), but if it’s anything like the US version of The Office, which I think is a successful and enjoyable US translation of the original show, it could be fun.

  4. David, if memory serves this is an in house NBC production? so, if that it case Seven would have the local rights? is that correct? they must be looking forward to that, the first episode at least will rate its arse off!

  5. Wow – I’m impressed. I didn’t think they would go to that level of detail.

Any word on story/plot? Are they going to do an “office” and copy scripting almost word for word on the first run – or is there orginality and an US spin in there?
