Veteran actor in hospital
Veteran actor Bud Tingwell is resting in hospital after having to withdraw from the stage production of Follies in Melbourne last week.
The 85yo, whom many now consider the grandfather of Australian television, was forced out of most of the performances after a urinary infection.
He also had a valve replacement operation in February.
“My big disapoointment was that my daughters were booked to come and see the show Thursday and Friday night and I couldn’t make it,” he told a 3AW reporter.
Tingwell, who has a lifetime of roles both in front and behind the camera, hasn’t been told how long he will need to rest.
Get well soon, Bud!
