Hosted by Steve Liebmann, this compelling episode looks back at one of the most baffling unsolved cases in Australia’s criminal history which saw three young women disappear from the affluent Perth suburb of Claremont between 1996 and 1997. Two of the women’s bodies were later discovered in bushland and the third has never been found. To this day, no arrests have been made.
This special edition of Crime Investigation Australia will feature new information, never before released to the public, in the hope it may lead to a breakthrough in the 12 year investigation.

CIA: Hunt for a Killer – The Claremont Murders details the long and difficult investigation which began following the disappearance of 18-year-old secretary Sarah Spiers after leaving a Claremont nightclub on Australia Day, 1996.
Six months later, another young woman, Jane Rimmer, also disappeared from the popular Claremont nightspot district. Her body was later found in bushland on the outskirts of Perth
Police became convinced they were hunting a serial killer when young lawyer, Ciara Glennon, was abducted after a night out at a Claremont hotel.
More than 120 000 pieces of information have since been recorded on all the cases.
Now, Western Australia Police believe the time has come to release some of their most sensitive information in the hope it might spark someone to come forward and provide a new lead.
The public and Crime & Investigation Network viewers will be asked to consider this new information closely and to call Crimestoppers (1800 333 000) if they believe they can help.
