Aussie gold by diver Matthew Mitcham

Australian diver Matthew Mitcham has a won gold medal in the 10m men’s diving.

Mitcham’s medal win is the first diving gold by an Australian male since 1924.

Mitcham, 20, the only openly gay male athlete at the Beijing Games, bettered dives by China and Russia.

He scored 537.95 points over Zhou Luxin’s 533.15 and Gleb Galperin’s 525.80
