No that isn’t Carrie at the Newsdesk it’s one Bert Newton, filling in for Carrie Bickmore on Rove tonight, due to illness. It was one of those fun moments that live telly and tonight shows can deliver. Bert and Rove together are always watchable, especially as they veer off course.

I particularly loved the news item about the crematorium that had a fire. With Rove cracking up it took Bert several attempts.
