Cadel, Olyroos make SBS Big Wednesday

SBS has been given approval to screen an Olyroos match tonight with the Ivory Coast at 9:45pm.

It is part of a line up the broadcaster is calling its ‘Big Wednesday’ of sport.

“The Olyroos final group match against Côte d’Ivoire will be a spectacular bout with both teams fighting for survival and a place in the quarter finals,” said said SBS Head of Sport, Ken Shipp. “SBS will broadcast the entire match LIVE from 9.45pm (AEST) with its very own football commentator, David Basheer, calling the match.”

And after twice coming second in the Tour de France, cyclist Cadel Evans will have his time trials at 3:30pm.

“Just weeks after the nation watched as the Tour de France finished in Paris, the road cycling continues as a clear audience favourite on SBS. The excitement on the road is sure to reach new heights in the Olympic individual time trial events on Wednesday with Australia’s Cadel Evans, Michael Rogers and Oenone Wood all strong medal contenders as they compete against the clock.”
