Emmys eye cast reunions

This is the sort of thing the Logies should have done a whole lot more of…..

The 60th Emmy Awards in September is said to be looking at cast reunions for some television favourites, including Melrose Place and Happy Days.

Just two years ago, former Charlie’s Angels stars Farrah Fawcett, Jaclyn Smith and Kate Jackson came together to pay tribute to their show’s creator, the late Aaron Spelling.

If they can bring together the cast of Melrose (Tuesday Night’s a Bitch!) Place, it would mean possibly seeing Heather Locklear and her TV lover turned real-life boyfriend Jack Wagner, Courtney Thorne-Smith, Doug Savant, Josie Bissett, Andrew Shue, Grant Show, Marcia Cross and Kristin Davis.

Cross has already agreed to appear with her Desperate Housewives co-stars in presenting an award, giving the actresses a presence that will fill a void after they all failed to make the nominees list.

Happy Days is another that is rumoured to be on the list, which should be no problem given Henry Winkler, Marion Ross, Tom Bosley, Erin Moran and Anson Williams already reunited this week for that Fonzie statue. They would need to throw Scott Baio & Al Devecchio in the mix, but can they get Ron Howard?

The cast of Dallas are already reuniting in October so they should be a pushover.

I’d really like to see all the actors of The Simpsons come out from behind their animated faces. Last time I saw all of them in one place it was for Inside the Actor’s Studio.

As we know, the cast of Mary Tyler Moore love to catch up. They should think about Cosby too. Any remaining Bradys. Beverly Hills 90210’s cast would be a timely reunion too.

Arena will screen the Emmys live in Australia at 10am Monday September 22.
