Heroes down under

As revealed here last month, the stars of Heroes are heading to Australia.

Masi Oka, Milo Ventimiglia and series creator Tim Kring will be in Sydney September 1 and 2 to launch the third season of the fantasy action-drama.

This week Seven screens the final 2 episodes of the second season, to put some space in between a rejuvenated third season which launches in the US on September 22nd. Seven plans to fasttrack the series for fans.

Kring gave fans at the Comic Con an exclusive screening of the first episode to considerable enthusiasm. Unlike the ‘slow burn’ of series two, this season jumps right into the action.

Seven’s conclusion of the second season this Wednesday night allows the stars to talk up the third season with more focus.

No airdate for Heroes: Villains has yet been announced for Australia.

Press Release:
One can make time stand still, the other can absorb the power of any supernatural being in his presence – both are about to take a flying leap towards Australia.

Heroes favourites Masi Oka, who plays time-freezer and teleporter ‘Hiro’, and Milo
Ventimiglia, the superpower absorber ‘Peter Petrelli’, have their sights set for Sydney in September.

Milo and Masi will be joined by Heroes creator Tim Kring on a promotional tour September 1 and 2 to launch the up-coming third season of the otherworldly action-drama on Seven.

The trip will also celebrate the debut season currently screening on SCI FI Channel and the October 1 release of Season 2 on DVD through Universal Pictures.

Heroes returns for its third season on Seven this October with a brand-new chapter, “Volume 3: Villains,” which explores the nature of good and evil in all the characters, as a cadre of villains is unleashed upon the world.

A brand new movie-length episode which concludes Heroes’ second season, “Volume 2:
Generations”, premieres 9.30pm Wednesday on Seven.
