FOX8′s Football Superstar host and ex-boyband singer Brian McFadden has made some clumsy comments regarding the colour pink, gay men and fashion.

“If you are not gay, a man should not be wearing pink,” Brian told a caller on an NZ breakfast radio show.

“Saying pink is a form of red is the same as saying…. homosexual is a form of male.”

McFadden, who already copped some cynicism from sports fans over his hosting skills of Football Superstar is also likely to be out of step with a few television executives. Not to mention damaging the gay following his fiancee Delta Goodrem enjoys.

Sydney FC fans recently greeted him with a chant of “You’re just a poor Robbie Williams” and “You’re Just A Fat Ronan Keating” during a brief on-field appearance at a trial match against Blacktown Demons.

And maybe Brian forgot what he’s worn before?
