Rumour: Underbelly for Victoria

There are rumours that Underbelly could be coming to Victoria soon, with some editing of episodes so as not to conflict with an trial that is yet to commence.

Many Victorians are believed to have already viewed the series illegally, but how much that affects audience figures remains to be seen. Certainly there is a significant proportion of Nine’s audience that does not partake in downloads and buying DVDs in car parks. Others could have purchased the DVD interstate.

If Nine is able to schedule the drama, the question is where? Although it would surely disrupt a synchronised PBL schedule, ultimately ratings are all about evening share, however that is achieved.

Of course Nine in Victoria has always had a soft Friday night against AFL, while NRL scores in NSW and Queensland. Could such a landmark drama ever work on Fridays?
