Here is an official trailer for Alan Ball’s True Blood which premieres in the US on September 7th. The drama, from the creator of Six Feet Under and American Beauty, depicts vampires and humans in a small Louisiana town after Japanese-made synthetic blood – “TruBlood” – becomes available for purchase. The show’s slogan is “Thou Shall Not Crave Thy Neighbour.”
Based on the books Southern Vampire Mysteries, it features Anna Paquin, Stephen Moyer and Aussie Ryan Kwanten (Home & Away, Summerland).
An early version of the pilot was leaked online, attracting mixed reviews.
Hopefully if the show works, somebody will pick it up in Australia. Start praying….
