Super-replay-model

Seven is really, and I mean really, pushing Make Me a Supermodel with another repeat of last week’s episode set for tomorrow.

It will air at 12 midday on Thursday, followed by a repeat of the offshoot Off The Runway at 1pm.

Repeats, or “encores” as some have dubiously called them, are often employed to create awareness of under-performing shows. All three commercial networks dabble with this strategy from time to time. Last night the “behind the scenes” edition attracted 436,000 viewers, beaten by Secret Diary of a Call Girl at 578,000.

So far Supermodel hasn’t exactly set Seven’s world on fire, with 936,000 viewers last week. Meanwhile Australian Idol, the same target audience, delivers 1.2m for TEN.

Seven has tried to prop up the model show with extra screenings since it began. It must be wondering what Australia’s Next Top Model did to gain such media coverage and 4 seasons under its belt. With a former Miss Universe fronting the show, it’s even more surprising.

The new ep of Supermodel will screen at 8pm following one hour of Home and Away.

You should also mention the extra repeats on 7HD on Thursday nights at 10.50pm.

There really is little point of difference in these types of shows, not to mention the gardening shows.

Everyone I know sees the show as a lame rip off of next top model and not worth wasting their time on… whether that’s the case or not is debatable but thats what a fair few people are saying…

No, not truncating any Andrew, and no plans to. As you can imagine a few teething problems before everything settles down, that’s all. Apologies for any inconvenience and will look into it.
