i too think the office at seven would be fantastic, but do you think that a nation that loves the dumb comedy that is 2.5 men would suddenly switch over to the more subtle office?

  2. spunkymonkeycaesar September 7, 2008 at 10:11 am -

Wait! – A Current Affair actually beat Today Tonight on Friday night?! – Wow, I wonder what ACA had on it to make people switch for a night from TT?

  3. Anon September 6, 2008 at 8:42 pm -

Hey David, i loved your old format to the site, but im sorry but i HATE the new layout and setting its horrible. i love the site but wish it was back to the old version, so much easier and clearer

  4. Kat September 6, 2008 at 8:38 pm -

i LOVE the idea of putting the Office on at 7. I’ve seen all seasons online and it just gets better. and in the US ratings it’s gone up by millions every season. It’d definitely be a better option. Why not try it? I personally can’t stand 2.5 men but apparently a lot of people do. But I think The Office would really have people tuning in. As I said; it’s worth a shot. Can’t to any worse than Taken Out.

  5. Craig September 6, 2008 at 1:24 pm -

I just started getting into The Office both the UK ans US versions and see TV1 is now showing the US version so 7pm on ch10 could lead to them actually showing new eps sooner, maybe get a buzz like 2.5 Man has developed in the last year since ch9 has been showing it every week night!

  6. Francis September 6, 2008 at 12:55 pm -

i think that ten should rework TAKEN OUT

If the girls buzz out the guy in the first round like when he walks out on the stage and the host says ‘ok. just by looking at the guy decide if you’re in or out’ and if they buzz out then they are out of the game completely.

that’s a good way of keping the girls fresh and making it more competitive. the girls would go ‘ohh no wait. i think there could be more to him than looks’

also they should also put some sort of cash prize. the guy can take the money or the girl on a date. so, if the two girls at the end he has to choose from are not his type as in looks because that is all he has to go on, he can say ‘i’ll take the money’ which could be something like $10,000 or something or if the girl is hot then he could say ‘i’ll take the girl on the date’ as it is a dating show and the guys come on the show for a date

also they should change the cash amount each night. so when the guy walks on the stage for the first time he has no idea of the cash amount. then when he is down to the last two girls and he has to choose the host can say ‘do you want the date or the money’ and if he says ‘the money’ then the host can say ‘ohh to bad. the amount is $5′ or another night ‘ohh good. the cash is $10,000′ so it changes every night so the guy has to work hard and think ‘i could get a girl on a date and maybe a girlfriend or i can walk about thousands of dollars richer’ and the girls also have to put first apperances aside as they can leave the show if they buzz out in the first round.

what are your thoughts on that idea? i think it would put new life into the show for sure and bump up the raitings.

it would be funny if a guy had a really hot girl but he choose the money and then found out the amount was $2.50

  7. RichoTB September 6, 2008 at 9:31 am -

The Office would be epic in a 7pm slot, but I don’t think thats ever going to happen. I’m not too sure how well it would do against 2.5 Men, but it definitely has the potential to be a hit. I recently watched the first two seasons of the show and am looking forward to the third sometime down the line.. And as you said “hey”, it would definitely do a lot better than Taken Out or Matt Groening cartoons.

  8. John September 6, 2008 at 8:47 am -

I think The Office at 7pm is a great idea for Ten. Could be their next Seinfeld.

  9. Susie September 5, 2008 at 11:51 pm -

Just looking at the ratings for Australian Idol, how do they compare to last years ratings for the same shows. I didn’t think they were much different than this years, but the way they are talking you would think they were rating through the roof.

  10. hey September 5, 2008 at 10:38 pm -

Ten why don’t you try putting ‘The Office’ on at 7pm, surely it can’t be as bad as ‘Taken Out’ is going!

  11. Kat September 5, 2008 at 5:54 pm -

I don’t know if there’s anything Taken out could do to succeed. to me it’s a poor concept with poor execution. It’ll be a mere memory soon enough.

I agree with all this talk that Rove needs a change up. To me they have so much talent on there with Pete, Hamish & Andy, Ryan Shelton, and Rove himself but the format is a little too tired. I also don’t really care for Carrie Bickmore. her segment is funny sometimes but she herself isn’t. I always feel with her she’s there flying the ‘female’ flag :S I’d much rather see Meshel Laurie on; whenever she’s on she’s just hilarious. I also think they need to do something more with Pete than Petespace and then whacking him on the couch. same with Ryan; Investigationing is getting a little old. What happened to all those good ol’ Rove segments like What The?, Tell Us where to go *back when Corrine was on*, My Charada? and i always loved when they got the celebs to play some kinda game; now they all just sit on the couch and shout witty comments back to one another.

It’s definitely a fixable problem; i just hope they do it! there’s so much comedic talent there that’s not being harnessed. :P

  12. Luke W September 5, 2008 at 3:00 pm -

Looks like Taken Out will be taken out of the schedule quick-smart now. 623,000 is shocking. I don’t think it should get axed, but it needs to be seriously re-worked for it to succeed.

  13. jak September 5, 2008 at 1:51 pm -

Seven need to program a one off event or something on Thursday night at the same time as the Strip. Its not as good as City Homicide and Packed to the Rafters – people are never going to buy the Gold Coast as CSI Miami – If people miss one week noone will go back.

Ghost Wisperer is not going to kill it.

  14. classclown September 5, 2008 at 12:29 pm -

Why doesn’t TEN try Battle Of The Sexes or Alan Jones Live again can’t rate worse than Taken Out?

  15. Ant September 5, 2008 at 10:51 am -

Its time to go ….Taken Out

  16. Craig September 5, 2008 at 9:17 am -

I’m not sure if I like Rush or The Strip, neither grabbed me but I’ll give them a chance and watch again, pilots are unpredictable.

But I’m much rather watch Breaking Bad on Showcase, fraken fantastic show, on at the same time as The Strip!

  17. seanie September 5, 2008 at 12:30 am -

The Strip was very poor indeed. The acting was very weak, worse than Sea Patrol. On the plus side the Gold Coast skyscrapers made it interesting, though im not so sure that’s a good thing. Id expect around 1.5 mill viewers, and I agree with you RichoTB that it will fall from grace quite quickly if this is the quality we can expect.

  18. spunkymonkeycaesar September 4, 2008 at 10:18 pm -

I must say I disagree with you RichoTB, as I thoroughly enjoyed the season premiere of The Strip and was not at all disappointed. Whilst The Strip may have been very much like CSI: Miami or any other cop show, it can not be denied all cop shows in one way or another are very much alike and are in turn a copy of one another, as they all contain similar substance and really, if you think about it not much can be different from one cop show / police procedural.

  19. Benno September 4, 2008 at 10:09 pm -

Yeah for some reason, including the personal lives in cop shows just doesn’t feel right, apart from svu. When they did that with goren in criminal intent, it just didn’t feel like the same show. The last you will probably see of this in the current season is purgatory which airs next week. I thought that the purgatory ep was really bad, but i guess they needed to have some way to get things back to normal with goren and eames.

  20. RichoTB September 4, 2008 at 9:48 pm -

Blah. I just watched The Strip’s first episode and Dave hit the nail right on the head. Its nothing special – just another police procedural trying too hard to become a clone of a CBS cop show. The characters are indeed pretty unlikable. Just like Criminal Minds, they were a bunch of shallow one-sided, one-dimensional mockups. On the plus side, the cinematography was good and I liked seeing the aerial shots of skyscrapers, the beach, the city, etc. The camerawork was great. But they really need to hire some new writers as everything that came out of the 2 main detectives’ mouths was just cliche’d and dumb. I’d rather watch City Homicide – at least the characters are grounded and its actually got some substance to it. The Strip goes for style over substance and falls flat as a result. I haven’t seen Rush yet, but I probably won’t bother. And what’s with all the blood. I sat through 13 Underbelly eps and it was never as graphic as those 2 corpses on the show tonight with all the blood pouring out of their heads. And the ECUs on the bloody faces was just wrong.

All up, it was a decent hour but I doubt I’ll catch the series in future. Aaron Jeffreys tried too hard to be David Caruso and that female detective that kept moaning about her partner’s love life like it was actually any of her business was just annoying. I expect it will gather 1.5-1.9 million viewers when the ratings show up, but it will diminish each week. It really wasn’t as good as the trailers made it out to be, and a lot of parts of it were annoying. Come to think of it, just about every character was annoying. Especially the trophy wife chick. Every time she spoke I laughed. I doubt thats what Nine were going for when they cast her.

As for Idol, 1 hour a night for a month is overkill to the max. I’ve watched every season except this year. I guess I just lost interest.

  21. andy September 4, 2008 at 7:52 pm -

Surely if taken out keeps up the 700ks it can’t last much longer. let’s hope it drops to the deadly 600s!!

  22. Andrew September 4, 2008 at 5:38 pm -

    1) I agree rove needs to shake up the show a bit. It has become used and boring and as of late i have tuned out of the program.
    2) Why doesn’t channel 10 have the rights to season 10 of friends, I wanted to watch it!
    3) Idol is doing well this year, I actually think that some of the voices are the best ever, even though I didn’t want to two who got in last night (the kid and asian guy) to get through, they were the two I thought were weakest on the night…Besides the girl who lost her voice..
And it was funny lasy night (wednesday night) when Kyle suggested to the overweight girl he didn’t know what he didn’t like about her…I KNOW! he does not like that she is overweight, and he was trying to tiptoe around saying it straight to her!
    4) Why are there no figures for abc on wednesday? I only ask because I think they best TEN…again

  23. Michael September 4, 2008 at 4:15 pm -

Still love Rove,But it needs some changes and change segment order and have bands on midway to break it up
Check out Graham Norton show on ABC 2 Fridays at 9.30

  24. Jules September 4, 2008 at 4:02 pm -

Wow Mark, you are right… so tired… two clicks to get to the ratings page. So… much… effort…

But seriously, love the new site!

  25. Kat September 4, 2008 at 2:55 pm -

thanks for the info Nathan87. I was wondering why they cut it off with only one season to go. Maybe when Taken Out finally gets canned they’ll bring back Futurama. Hell id happily watch the Simpsons.

Alan Sugar’s going wayyyy down. I think we all saw that coming. horrible decision to bring back that format when Nine dumped it years ago.

  26. Tom (i7........iHate) September 4, 2008 at 2:33 pm -

DOCTOR WHO beat ROVE. Thats good to see. Rove is getting boring, same thing every week.

  27. Francis September 4, 2008 at 2:04 pm -

yeah come on people. watch abc.

the hollowmen and very small business were amazing shows. loved them.

got to see the hollowmen isn’t right at the bottom and close to 1m veiwers.

i hope it gets better. i love it. me and my dad watch it every wednesday night. it’s our thing. so cool.

  28. muzza September 4, 2008 at 1:40 pm -

Grand design is one of the best shows on TV. Taken out should be taken out and shot before anyone gets hurt and enough of 2.5 men please.

  29. Humus September 4, 2008 at 1:11 pm -

Channel 9 have only one thing to do, buy the best show on the planet….AMERICAN CHOPPER!!!

  30. Humus September 4, 2008 at 1:06 pm -

    Loved Grand design………..great show

  31. Craig September 4, 2008 at 11:53 am -

Prison Break was great last night, oh wait ch7 isn’t airing that yet LOL

ABC has 2 good comedies on Wednesday, wish more people would watch them.

  32. Rutzie September 4, 2008 at 11:37 am -

With Kenny’s World starting next Wednesday at 8pm Hole In The Wall is in massive danger of dropping below 1million viewers. It’s up there with Monster House as the worst show of the year.

  33. Nathan87 September 4, 2008 at 11:29 am -

Kat, Friends ended its run on Ten when season 9 finished. Ten don’t have the rights to the Tenth season, Channel 9 still are holding on to that one.

  34. Dan September 4, 2008 at 11:02 am -

Hole in the wall didn’t do very well did it! I do not know what channel nine are thinking with their programming. Surely Kerry Packer wasn’t the only brain behind why the network use to produce some quality programmes! A Current Affair is just terrible now, it’s all fluff and nonsense. I am also missing Sunday but only when Jim Waley was the host. I think that’s why more people are tuning into the ABC for their news and current affairs, plus you don’t have to put up with stupid stories about animals performing cute tricks or celebs looking like idiots. Anyway that’s my say.

  35. Craig September 4, 2008 at 11:02 am -

mmm, Nine is going to need to pull something out of the bag to beat seven this year, as much as people lamented Dancing being a flop on Sunday, if it has Seven only 2% behind going into its incredibly stong Monday/Tuesday rather than 10% then its doing its job as by the time it gets to Wednesday, based on current figures, it would take a miracle for nine to catch seven by weeks end..

  36. seanie September 4, 2008 at 10:47 am -

Excellent numbers for Criminal Minds, and to think this show started in that slot 700k. Cant deny those numbers for the repeat either, doubling what Sugar got last week and giving 7 a thumping win.

Between 7′s massive wins on Monday and Tuesday, strong wins on Wednesday and Friday, and more competitive Saturday and Sunday, I think it is near impossible for 9 to win any weeks for the remainder of this year.

  37. JOHNTV September 4, 2008 at 10:39 am -

OMG what has happened to Nine News and ACA – they are now both struggling to make the top 10 and getting beaten by ABC News.

Its not Nine News Adelaide and Perth that have gone pear shape – it looks like all of their bulletins have gone south. Maybe it is time for a new look or dare one say a new timeslot !!!!

  38. JaneCheney September 4, 2008 at 10:33 am -

David, can you please let us know what The HollowMen and Very Small Business rated last night?

  39. Michael September 4, 2008 at 8:49 am -

How did grand designs on ABC fair against commercial stations on Tuesday night?
Great show, pitty its moved to prime time up agaist other good shows

  40. spunkymonkeycaesar September 4, 2008 at 8:19 am -

Bindi, Nine had no choice as to hold of their new shows, as they haven’t even aired in the US yet. They’re coming to our screens almost the same time as in the US.

  41. Benno September 3, 2008 at 9:54 pm -

lol francis, last week 60 mins had a story about alien theories

  42. Francis September 3, 2008 at 6:45 pm -

glad RUSH on TEN did well. anything of 1m viewers classifies as good raitings??

i didn’t watch it though but i taped it so i’ll watch it later. i was actually waiting for the raitings and if i did well i’d watch it and i guess i will.

Also what is the appeal of PACKED TO THE RAFTERS? Saw part of the first episode and it was okay but not brilliant. I can’t believe the second episode got over 2m viewers. that’s amazing.maybe i’ll watch it now.

I guess Aussie made tv shows are really getting up there.

Wasn’t suprised about DWTS not beating 60 minutes. I mean, come on. Hard hitting stories against dancing. What is better?

  43. Neil September 3, 2008 at 6:35 pm -

All Saints grabbed almost 100K extra on top of next week, and NCIS has been down since coming back from the break, so i sure Rush can improve….i thought it was a fantastic drama…the original promo’s looked poor, but a few good reviews pushed me into watching (and im sure it’s doing better 16-39 figures than AS)
Ten just needs to keep the faith

  44. David Knox September 3, 2008 at 6:10 pm -

I don’t think it’s the first time KAK has beaten TMS but it’s rare, and keeping my eye on it.

  45. Michael September 3, 2008 at 4:55 pm -

Cought 10′ S new show RUSH last night and very disapointed with first night.2 predictable and no connection to charactors
Bad 1st up at only 1 mil,Will be pushed back to 10.30 like most shows

  46. Paul September 3, 2008 at 4:32 pm -

Did anyone notice that KAK beat The Morning Show on Tuesday. Is this the first time it has been beaten?

  47. Sephiroth_FF September 3, 2008 at 4:28 pm -

I can’t believe Packed to the Rafters rated over 2m! I was hoping that garbage would be off the air fast. It looks like it’ll be around for a while now.

  48. RichoTB September 3, 2008 at 3:29 pm -

Wow PTTR kicking ass. I missed it again, I had QCS yesterday + already had watched 1.5 hrs of PB so I couldn’t be bothered watching even more TV. Taken Out is losing viewers, I don’t see it getting any higher. Also it seems Australia is finally getting tired of 2.5 Men. Usually it rates around 1.4-1.6 mill in that slot, but it barely pulled 1 mill yesterday. It might be time to finally bring out those Temptation eps just to give the audience a bit of a break.

  49. Kat September 3, 2008 at 2:56 pm -

good to see Taken Out already going down. might not even last the week! that’d be awesome. They were almost done with Friends; I think in the ninth season. why take it off so close to the end for something so menial and downright stupid in Taken Out?

  50. May. September 3, 2008 at 1:36 pm -

Im glad there is a GOOD australian tv show back on television.. its good to see australian actors in something that is.. GOOD..

I agree with many of the comments above, PTTR was great last night, and I think it’s because it is such a relatable show that people feel like it’s part of their own story somehow.

7 had the top 7 shows of the night, I cannot believe how low Nine news’s figures have gone, Channel Nine Perth was always blamed for not doing well, but now it looks like the whole country is tuning out of nine news.

  52. Dan September 3, 2008 at 12:28 pm -

Maybe that’s the end of Wipeout then, nine can’t afford to lose so bad. I also hate it when networks over play a show, which is what nine is doing with 2.5 men, once a week is really more than enough. I agree with Rush, needs to be on a night when some of those repeated american shows are on, think it would win for sure.

  53. Craig September 3, 2008 at 12:25 pm -

Forgot to add, love how more people watched Billie Piper playing a hooker than the supermodel want-to-be’s LOL

  54. Craig September 3, 2008 at 12:20 pm -

I thought Rush was a little slow, but will give it another go next week. Love that Packed has better numbers this week.

  55. John September 3, 2008 at 11:31 am -

Ten probably should be happy in my opinion. Especially up against All Saints. It’s a shame two Aussie dramas have to go head to head…again. Why not put Rush up against one of the repeats of Criminal Minds?

  56. William September 3, 2008 at 11:31 am -

Disappointing figures for ‘Rush’, I really thought it would take off. Hopefully it will stick around for a little longer. 9:30 timeslot against ‘All Saints’ probably not the best move though.

Its time to go ‘Taken Out’!

  57. Guy September 3, 2008 at 11:14 am -

First off i love this new website it is so great that you can post like this now, you have done a fantastic job giving it a makeover.

As for Packed To the Rafters wow i am really loving this show after just 2 eps and who would of thought it would get more than its first week. This show i think will be a fantastic addition to Seven’s lineup. Its a shame though that DWTS has to suffer because of it being in its timeslot. I would have put DWTS on Thursdays if i had to move it not Sundays but thats tv for you. It would have really helped with seven’s Thursday but hey what do i know. As for Rush i taped it and watched it after All Saints. This show has so much potential and i think it could be a great show for Ten. 1.15m for the first ep at 9:30pm is great, really getting the boost from the NCIS audience.

  58. Ianblair23 September 3, 2008 at 11:10 am -

Wow, that is an incredible result for Packed to the Rafters

  59. Bindi September 3, 2008 at 11:05 am -

wow, packed to the rafters actually went up from the first week, that doesn’t happen very often does it? rush did ok but a lot of people seem to be disappointed with it so it’ll probably drop off a bit next week. 7 are smashing nine this week, they are probably going to win the week even without olypmics, so nine holding off their shows till this week didn’t achieve much.

  60. James September 3, 2008 at 11:03 am -

I love Packed To The Rafters! So glad to see its ratings slightly increasing of last weeks first ep! Congrats to Seven. I was unsure about the 8.30pm Tuesday slot at first but it has really work for them.

Watched the first ep of Rush last night too, was a solid effort for a first episode and there is definately room for it to grow and hopefull the ratings will increase but 1.1 off NCIS’s 1.2 is a good result for TEN and TEN did come second for the ngiht.

Good rersult for all.. except nine :)

  61. Rutzie September 3, 2008 at 10:52 am -

Seven must be wrapped with Packed To The Rafters holding onto it’s audience. I’m really enjoying it so far. Nine will be worried with Two And A Half Men. Have they heard of the word overkill. Will Taken Out last the week. And just a quick question about Rush David, would Ten be happy with those figures of 1.1 million.

  62. JOHNTV September 3, 2008 at 10:38 am -

I think Taken Out will be Taken Out of the TEN schedule by the end of the week. Its ratings are going south not growing and are now below the figure that TEN was getting for repeats of Friends.

  63. classclown September 3, 2008 at 10:18 am -

Still pissed at 7 for taking Always Greener away after the week b4 they said “Always Greener is the corner stone of our line up”. PTTR was not as good as I thought it could be. The Strip will go the way of so many other 9 soaps (Paradise Beach, Family & Friends, Pacific Beach was it called?).

  64. Neil September 2, 2008 at 11:01 pm -

City Homicide was down 200K from last week, but that’s expected – it still pulled awesome numbers, which is great to see as it’s such a quality drama

Taken Out hasn’t really improved massivly upon Friends numbers, and TEN would be wanting better than the 851K in the coming weeks (should it last that long)….from what was being discuseed at school, didnt seem like too many viewers were impressed…hopefully PTTR can hold into a good 1.65-1.7mil of last week’s audience

  65. Craig September 2, 2008 at 10:16 pm -

Ugly Better should be on Sundays like the promised, not Criminal Minds for the 3rd time that week!

  66. Nathan September 2, 2008 at 9:07 pm -

Wow, how good is Home and Away doing… shocked!

  67. RichoTB September 2, 2008 at 8:37 pm -

I am really glad that Criminal Minds pulled such abysmal figures on Sunday. It goes to show that Australia is getting sick of this show being on 3 times a week, much less 2 times a week just being reruns!!

As for the new look, its average IMO, a lot like American TV sites like TVGuide and Entertainment Weekly. I probably preferred the Google Blogger look as it was a lot more simple and welcoming somehow, but I’ll probably get used to the new one in a couple of days.

  68. spunkymonkeycaesar September 2, 2008 at 8:18 pm -

I have to disagree with you both Luke W and Dan as to Seven being happy with the success of Dancing With The Stars on Sunday night. Dan you mentioned Seven’s ratings on Sunday night were a “big improvement” when comparing their Sunday night ratings to before the Olympics. Seven’s audience share hasn’t changed dramatically; only by about 1% to when they had Battle Of The Choirs. Rather, the reason for Seven’s ratings not looking near as bad as they did before the Olympics, is because as Luke W mentioned Nine only won by just over 2%, as a result of greater competition from Ten with Australian Idol with their Sunday night audience share jumping from about 19% to 23.5% last Sunday.

  69. Dan September 2, 2008 at 7:24 pm -

yeah Craig that’s what I was afraid of, don’t have pay tv and unlikely to ever get it, don’t know if I can wait until then though, might have to download it

  70. Craig September 2, 2008 at 6:35 pm -

Dan I think you’ll find Showcase has first dibs on Dexter and I think it starts in October. In the US S3 starts Sept 30. Ch 10 is unlikely to air it for at least a year IMO.

  71. Dan September 2, 2008 at 4:31 pm -

I love this site and the new improvements are fantastic.

I think seven would be happy with the ratings on Sunday night, compare them with what was happening before the Olympics and it’s a big improvement.

What was Dexter’s ratings on Sunday night? I love this show but ended up buying the series as couldn’t wait while the Olympics were on. I really hope that season 3 is fasttracked to channel 10 and put it on a night where we don’t have to wait until Rove is over. The networks really have to address the problem of shows running late and starting late, it really is painfull! I know that they think that they are being clever but it just means I don’t end up watching and will buy the whole series instead.

As for Monday’s ratings, Seven really couldn’t do much better!

  72. Kat September 2, 2008 at 3:41 pm -

dave; LOVE the new site:P much more professional :P not a fan of the colour but the layout is awesome :)

I give Taken Out one week; what a ridiculous show. I never thought I’d see the day when Home and Away became the lesser of three evils for me with 7.00 pm TV :S

  73. Paul September 2, 2008 at 3:28 pm -

Hi David, great new site mate, dont worry what the others say… Cheers….

  74. Ben September 2, 2008 at 3:03 pm -

Hogwash Mark and Chucky… looks great and I’m glad the pay tv is separted out. I don’t have it and I don’t care what’s going on on those chanels.

Now to the ratings… Taken Out – quite dull viewing really, and 4th in it’s slot. Will it last past the week? Don’t think so.

  75. mark September 2, 2008 at 2:11 pm -

I agree with chucky. Plus the terrible colour, the two clicks to this weeks ratings but the ultimate faux pas is the front page emphasis on pay TV. You minion of Rupert Murdoch, David.

  76. chucky September 2, 2008 at 12:21 pm -

hi david, i wated for your new look site and its finally here. Sorry but i absolutely hate it, its way to complicated, too much stuff in your face. sory but a big let down

  77. William September 2, 2008 at 10:21 am -

definitely an improvement on Channel 7′s Sunday average of late but wow! that is some serious droppage in figures for DWTS.

Pity ‘Scorched’ didn’t do better, tough competeition from Ten, Seven and ABC though.

He, he, Jamie Durie got beaten by his old team.

  78. Luke W September 2, 2008 at 10:07 am -

Whoa! If I was Channel Seven, I would be very worried. 60 Minutes still holds the position and Australian Idol is just behind Dancing. But on the positive, Nine only won by 2.7%, which is a big improvement over previous weeks. I’m guessing the narrowing of the gap between Seven and Nine would help Seven alot towards weekly wins.

  79. Francis September 2, 2008 at 12:30 am -

I am so glad Australian Idol is doing well and getting at least 1m viewers each night. I thought people would be sick and tired of it ala Big Brother but i guess they’re not.

I’m certainly not and i’m glad it’s getting good raitings and it hasn’t dropped under 1m yet at all. Also i thought putting idol on everynight of the week would be too much for people to handle but it’s not. I’m so glad.

I love Idol and would die if it left our screens so this is a good thing as it shows the australian public are not sick of it and want it back for another season.

  80. May. September 2, 2008 at 12:28 am -

oh wow.. 60 minutes beat dwts… shame.
