Gallery: Kids’ Choice Awards slimed

By David Knox on October 13, 2008 / Filed Under Pay TV 6

John Cena, Natalie Bassingthwaighte and Ricki-Lee were slimmmmmmmmmed at the Nickelodeon’s Kids Choice Awards on the weekend, proving they were good sports for the screaming fans.

They follow in the footsteps of Delta Goodrem and Zac Effron from previous years.

The audience screamed from the moment Operator Please opened the show, and rarely let up.

You can catch two more screenings of the show Wednesday at 6.30pm, and Friday at 8pm.

Not sure what’s in it but Nick says:

For the second consecutive year and in line with its Biggest Greenie Award, the Nickelodeon Australian Kids Choice Awards 2008 are carbon neutral – all the carbon emissions produced during the show are being offset by energy efficient projects accredited by the Department of Climate Changes Greenhouses Friendly ™ program. These carbon credits (voluntary emission reductions or VERs) come from energy efficiency projects run in Glen Eira, Kingston and Stonnington areas in Melbourne.

What is that slime made of anyway? And why is it such a fixture of the Kids Choice Awards and Nick in general?
