The HD channels are the perfect way for these shows to get aired. Unless you live in regional areas, everyone has access to them. You just need to buy a HD set top box for about $100. If you compare this to the $30-$60 you’d pay for a single season of a single tv show on dvd, I’d rather pay the $100 and get access to a range of shows.

Nice surreptitious hint there, Kieran!

I’d prefer to see ‘known’ shows on Nine HD, rather than the ‘unknown US comedies that barely lasted one season’ they’ve been airing, like The War at Home, Four Kings, Big Day and Twenty Good Years.

Downloads aren’t always a good option for many people; it takes time to download shows; and bandwidth limitations have to be considered (given the lowly amounts we’re stuck with in this country).

DVDs are the best option, really. You can rent hundreds of shows easily from video stores for a buck or two.

Dumb idea putting these shows on HD channels a lot of viewers don’t have access to.

If you haven’t seen them already you don’t know how EZ it is to get TV off the ‘net.
One day commercial networks will work out how to provide their viewers with what they want, and still be able to make a buck out of advertising revenue. Until then, I’ll watch tv shows that I want to watch, when I want to watch them. I don’t fancy being buggered around by some scheduling executive. I worked this out a long time ago because I happen to watch a lot of the shows that get shelved, postponed, or dropped altogether. I don’t have the time or inclination to wait for them, so I do it my way. Its like TiVO but a million times better, because it really is my way because I can get the shows that fail to even appear on tv because they were dumped.

I don’t get why they put it on the HD channel either. They’d get more viewers on the SD channel so I’m puzzled.

Now they’re pulling a channel 10? Dumping things on HD all the time?

David, I don’t understand why they don’t at least show it on SD Channel 9 for those of us without HD, even at a bad time slot, at least some of us will still see it.

And the networks wonder why we insist on downloading tv shows…. networks can’t be trusted.

What is it with networks sticking shows like this on HD channel.
Not many folks have access.

Hang on a sec, I know why – NOT enough timeslots on nineto cope with Two and aa half men, ramsay and more 20-1 clips shows.

Ten has Simpsons that demand they be on air – 30 hours a week plus the extra Idol/dance results show…

PLEASE give us the ‘left over’ stock and stop rehashing same old tripe.

Pull a show off the air a huge number of times and then screen it on a channel that the majority of people don’t have access to yet? Real smart. More people would watch it if it was on the normal channel.

I’ve seen all of season four and it is BRILLIANT. Anyone who hasn’t bought the DVD’s yet, do so as soon as possible. Watching the episodes right through, without interruptions is a LOT more enjoyable than letting 9 mess around.
