FOX salutes more American Dad

Despite not renewing King of the Hill, FOX has given American Dad a greenlight for a fifth season.

“The election will probably cause us to come up with a whole new dynamic,” writer Mike Barker said. “We’re excited for what that could mean for Stan. It’ll be interesting to see him on the losing side of things.”

“This is what a comedy writer wants, there’s no reason not to keep going,” Matt Weitzman said, referring to the signing of individual pacts with 20th Century Fox TV, which could see them develop separate projects.

American Dad screens on Seven in Australia, with an episode slated for tonight in some states.

One of the best show! Now all I need is for Foxtel to start showing new one’s rather than the 4 they currently have in rotation. And new Family Guy would be good too.

With the likelihood of an Obama victory it will be interesting to see what Stan thinks of an Obama America.
