Ramsay to open Melbourne restaurant

By David Knox on November 13, 2008 / Filed Under News 4

Gordon Ramsay will open a restaurant at Crown Casino in Melbourne in 2010, Maze.

Other Maze Restaurants, located in London, New York and Prague, offer French-based cuisine with Asian influences and small tasting plates.

“This is our first step in bringing the Gordon Ramsay brand to Australia and after having seen the way Crown operates feel that this is an exciting and challenging opportunity,” Ramsay said in a statement issued earlier today.

Nine had previously indicated an interest in an Australian made Ramsay series to be produced in conjunction with a local development.
