Press Release:
Channel Seven is delighted to announce its red hot summer line-up featuring premiere overseas drama, audience favourite comedy and action-packed event TV.

Premiere series include quirky American legal drama, Eli Stone, which stars Jonny Lee Miller and features cameos from pop star George Michael; British police drama, Holby Blue, a spin-off of the successful Casualty and Holby City series; and Britannia High, a British musical drama which evokes comparisons to the hugely popular High School Musical trilogy and Fame.

For a bit of fun, Dance Machine is must-see TV, with ordinary people facing off in extraordinary dance-offs to rival anything you’ll witness at the office Christmas party.

New seasons of Las Vegas and a dirtier, sexier, Dirty Sexy Money, featuring new cast member Lucy Liu, will bring the sizzle to your Summer viewing.

In terms of event TV, it doesn’t get much bigger than 24: Redemption. Jack is back in the hotly-anticipated telemovie which provides a high-octane bridge between season six and 2009’s season seven.

The Amazing Race, Prison Break, Heroes, Scrubs and The Unit will all continue, joined by fresh episodes of returning favourites Ugly Betty, Hot Property, Outback Wildlife Rescue, Kath & Kim The American Series, The Rich List, Air Crash Investigations and Seven Wonders of the Industrial World.
Viewers can also catch up on their favourite episodes of hit comedy How I Met Your Mother when we take you back to the start of this much-loved series.

And it wouldn’t be Summer on Seven without Carols In The Domain. Kate Ritchie returns to co-host this year’s event which will celebrate it’s 26th year with the biggest line-up yet of Australia’s top voices.

  1. I am happy to that Ugly Betty will be shown twice a week so series two will wrap up before the tennis starts in January. And there will be enough time to air the rest of season four of Las Vegas (is it really out on DVD now?).

  2. Tuesday night looks good. With UB & DSM, If I like Eli Stone then they have me for the whole night. But Oh, PB on Tuesadys will clash with Survivor & Out of the Blue, damn.

  3. You have got to be kidding me thinking 9 and 10 lineup is better. This blows both out of the water. My TV is pretty much going to be on 7 this summer with this lneup plus the tennis

  4. Quite like that schedule, loving Dirty Sexy Money, Eli Stone, Las Vegas, Prison Break along with most of the continuing shows. Shits all over Ten and Nine’s wall to wall repeat schedule.

  5. Anything on nine’s schedule looks better than endless repeats of 20 to 1 and 2 1/2 men. Similarly, anything looks better on seven’s schedule than endless factual shows. When they axe heaps of shows during the year, the summer schedule is bound to be better. I guess a simple way of putting it is the quality of summer scheduling is inversely related to the quality of their ratings period programming.

  6. Yeah I’m with you Billy it’s a pretty dire schedule..10 is slightly better,9 the best by a fair margin.

Instead of rpts of Bones (as much as i enjoy it) and the dreadful “sitcom” HIMYM how about putting 30 Rock in prime time? How about Knight Rider! & Michael Palin!!!!

  7. hmm, i was expecting to see PTTR encore, 30 rock rpts, reaper, my own worst enemy, outbackWR and knight rider. they might come. surprised to see vegas in 8:30

assuming gladiators to take 6:30 sunday, outdoor room is only 2 weeks behind.

yay for: bones, betty, eli, HIMYM, air crash, and scrubs
good to see very few repeats. will betty go onto season 3 if it finishes early?

probably the best of the bunch so far

  8. Not that I watched Las Vegas, but you would think they would order as little as one more episode to air at a later date to wrap up everything, and other series canceled with a cliffhanger ending.

  9. Still no Michael Palin !!! You better show it Seven or there’s gonna be trouble!!

The only thing that holds any interest for me is the Bones rpts as I have just started watching and Frost who is always worth watching.

  10. Ugly Betty fans (like me) will sure be happy that the show is back, and twice a week! TAR pushed back an hour but at least Heroes will stay in the 10:30 slot, where it is going quite well for a 10:30 show.
