Dance Machine was bad real bad imho.
But i’m really shocked in the low rating for the 24 movie i thought it will atleast be top5.
that’s what i expected for B&B. It is competing with Seven News, i don’t know how they could expect more.
McLeod’s Daughters did about as well as you could expect given how ch9 has treated the show, I wonder how many have gone out and just bought the final season on DVD?
So ch7 just held off 9 in the final week.
And thank you David for the link for Newcastle / NBN ratings. Its interesting to see that in NBN’s coverage area (From Central Coast to Gold Coast) it convincingly wins over all other channels – something like by 10%. If I was running PRIME I would be asking why the success that channel 7 generally has in the cities is not working in this area! Maybe its because PRIME’s presentation is a little ametuerish compared to the other channels…
Anyone who wants Will and Grace, get Foxtel and tune into HITS 111, Its on something like 8 times a day, together with Friends, Dharma and Greg and a few other sitcoms overplayed.
AFI’s rated so low… thats surprising.
Excellent night for the ABC coming equal second with 7 with four shows in the top 10!
lol, I expect to hear some schedule changes today. Namely Britannia High, Dance Machine and McLeods Daughters. They are absolutely shocking
I can’t see B&B sticking around with those ratings, but Ten could at least keep it in that timeslot until the ratings period.
i thought 24 redemption was ok, not the spectaular event that i thought it would be. did i have to watch the last season to get some parts of it? i thought that it had a slow start so maybe people the “half interested” changed the channel to miss. congeneality
still 645k is a decent number for a friday night movie. those miss congeniality figures are a freak of nature
over the hedge, national treasure, wallace and gromit, and now MC, all B grade movies (xept MC but thats been done to death) have all rated well in the last few weeks. could this be the return of movies to australian FTA??
Guys ratings are hard to come by on weekends at the best of times, doubly so during summer. Will provide what extra I can on Monday.
Can we get the ratings for NUMB3ERS & Law and Order?
I’m shocked so maybe people watched Miss Congeniality, okay not really. 24 didn’t do very good numbers at just 645k. I didn’t expect Canal Road to do much stuck that late and was I the only one confused? Maybe they needed a re-cap on the season so far since it hasn’t aired for months?
Surprised to see Miss Congeniality do so well..
Any way to find out the figures for Numb3rs and L&O??
Sigh. I watch alot of TV,even in my job, but out of the top 25 shows on Wed. all I watched was #25 Heroes and ABC news. The more they juggle these program timeslots, the more irrelevant free-to-air is getting. The fact is the top 10 every day are shows that aren’t juggled in their timeslots or delayed because big brother ran 20 mins overtime. They dont even sell their shows anymore, used to be a time when you could put up billboards with timeslots. The viewing masses like stability between 6-10pm, as soon as the networks get it through their skulls, the more they can count on a demographic to sit down and watch it.
16 M-24: Redemption Seven 645,000
Fri and Sat’s ratings?? Anyone??
Im curious to see how 24 went….
I want Fridays numbers too! Ive been coming back to the website to check and theres nothing.. I wish TEN would put Will & Grace back on. If that show is going to rate for TEN then it would be now in the non ratings period. Im sick of Friends & Arena have now axed Will & Grace too
Im curious to see how Numb3rs did.
Where’s Friday’s ratings? I wanted to see how Numb3rs and L&O did up against 24
gee scrubs is doing amazing numbers!
DFTL is back???? Who evers hair brain idea this is is why the network is dead.
Cold Case was good last ngiht, it wasn’t a tearjerker compared to other episodes but I enjoyed it nonetheless. Good to see that it captured more than 1mn viewers. I’ve always liked this show.
Dont forget the lyrics is horrible. It does not appeal to me at all.. its not even entertaining. Make a good decision TEN and axe this trash. Bring back Will & Grace!
Andrew try http://www.mediahunter.com.au/ for regionals
Survivor still keeping on, thanks for the effort to show Survivor’s ratings David.
B+B slipping with each episode. Will it last?
Eli stone would be OK if it wasn’t for the character that is his assistant. She’s very annoying.
Temptation growing well it seems.
David, wondering if you know how Temptation is doing in regionals – like NBN where it is on at 5.30 against Deal or no Deal repeats? Or where I could find out at least??
I didn’t watch any FTA last night (it must be summer) Kyle XY then the Eureka pilot, which was nice to see again.
How I met your mother seems to be doing very well! I never watched this show until now, but i watch it some week nights now and friends others. Good combination!
Billy I’m quite sure Cold Case was a new ep. I watched it last night for the first time in ages and enjoyed it. Good to see it did well.
HIMYM seems to be dropping off now coming third in it’s slot.
Eli and Betty both lost 200k from their Tuesday timeslots. Yet another CBS cop show hits the magic million for Nine, that doesn’t surprise me although its terrible that shows that are so bland and tedious will continue to be the highest rating in this nation. CI also dropped off around 500k from its usual figure of 1.2 mill that it was getting for new eps, wonder why that is? Maybe ppl were pissed off that Chris Noth left?
Hey David,
Any idea if the Cold Case last night was a new ep or a repeat as i hadnt seen it b4. Cheers
Out of the Blue seems to have built up quite a stable audience against the odds. Thanks for posting the ratings. I’m a big fan of this show from the UK and I’ve been visiting TV Tonight regularly to see how it’s doing.
Whoa! at ABC News Taking the 3rd Spot on Wednesday!
And Nine News getting 970K? they sure lose a lot!
Not having Foxtel, i watched Gossip Girl for first time. It was really good. Shocking ratings. The set up in the first ep was really integral, maybe they should do an extra screening of the first ep at a different time?
One or 2 more eps will be shown in the US before their winter break, ch10 is fast tracking NCIS only a week after the US. They won’t air any more until the rating start in Feb but given how the re-run rated I might not make much difference IMO.
Thanks Marcus – very helpful. Hope you can hold out for your show okay!!!
ER and Gossip Girl were great but had crappy timeslots and sloppy promotion so I don’t see them sticking around which sucks because they’re definitely up there with the best of this summer’s viewing :S
So Prison break got 417k and Gossip girl on channel nine same time slot got 290k. that shows prison break aint doing to bad at the 10 30 time slot.
290000 for Gossip Girl? Thats disgusting. Nine are stupid for putting it so late, no-one watches tv that late. Put it on at 7:30, or 8:30. Why have stupid repeats, when you have something fresh to Australian FTA tv?? They’ll never learn will that *rolleyes* Gossip Girl deserves more than that, much much more.
Was NCIS on this week a repeat? That’s good figures for a repeat. Why didn’t TEN air the rest of the season? Isn’t there a few more eps for this season of NCIS?
Prison Break got 417k, easily winning it’s timeslot.
And another one who wants to know: Prison Break ratings?
Had ER have remained on during ratings would have done very well. Its a great show, problem now is everyone who cares about it has either downloaded or got over waiting for it.
Gossip Girl already been on Foxtel, and agree way wrong time slot for that show, Should be earlier.
The Mentalist airs on CBS Tuesday nights in America. Rush wasn’t shown that long ago, so that would mean low repeat figures. They must be trying to attract people who haven’t seen them yet to get higher ratings for next season.
Tony.. we were talking about the US ratings for The Mentalist
Where was the Prison break ratings
Rush rated poorly, I dont think people like the whole ‘repeats’ every night thing by Ten. I will always watch Rush, its one of my favourite shows on TV. I think TEN should replace House / Rush with one NCIS repeat and another show, 90210 maybe (as Tuesdays will no longer see 2 NCIS Repeats) or popular and well known movies.
Where was The Mentalist on Tuesday night??? And RichoTB, just because you don’t like NCIS there’s no need to rubbish it. My wife loves it, repeats and all.
wow wasn’t expecting 7 to win the night i thought their lineup was pretty weak. (xcept air crash)
i don’t think i saw much of a promotion for las vegas so i guess it might pick up.
ER did so low beaten by ex-latenighttrash the unit by 100k =(
@craig, it doesn’t really matter what rush gets, as long as there are a few new eyes on it the encore will be worth the investement. that what non-ratings are for. it actually didn’t do that bad only losing 350k from first run.
Gosh, Gossip Girl didn’t rate that well (might be an understatement).
Might have been the time-slot though. 10:30pm???? The main target demographic for the show was probably in bed for school the next day.
Plus whoever wanted to watch the show would have watched it on Fox8 or “other sources”.
Shame on you Nine for leaving it until now to show GG.
Good going Wallace And Gromit!
Temptation is not doing too bad in it’s summer slot, maybe it could have replaced 2.5 Men months ago. Gossip Girl with only 290k, even at 10:30 that’s a bad number, now ch9 has a reason to dump it on 9HD. Rush isn’t working in re-runs.
Now just waiting to see which shows get the chop before the week is out.
What’s with Nine News?
They dropped the word ‘National’ and are now half a million viewers behind Seven.
Interesting that Michael Usher won the weekend news (both Saturday and Sunday) but Mark Ferguson gets comprehensively beaten on weekdays.
